Ofcourse the PO for Stomps aren't legit. Could be a few they kept way back then. You think FT will make a few for this one company? If so, I got a stock in a Chinese coffee company to sell you.

It is a legit preorder because the stock was found by his supplier and he himself doesn’t have them yet.

The secondary/eBay prices are just insane and dashes the hopes of most people finding one for a decent price. Maybe one day there will be a re-issue or just settle on a Graviter which is the most likely scenario.

 

Well TBF,it was an auction that started @ $160 and some moron ruined it with his bid for everyone else who probaly really wanted it and would've paid their bid. Seriously I hate it when that happens to me on my sales/eBay and why I don't bother with Auctions anymore. Now the only issues I deal with are Offers when my price is firm and there's no OBO lol.

 

That shit is ridiculous. It’s like the people trying to up charge what they have to sale that are going to be re-released. I’m mean good for them to sell before that, but man, it ain’t worth it now with the reissues or 2.0s coming.

 

I must have missed the announcement, is there a re release coming out? Would have been unlikely under normal circumstances.

Poor Fanstoys just cannot keep up with fan demand for these figures. They are leaving so much money on the table. If they were able to reissue every figure they have that hasn't been bested by a Takara issue(Quakewave comes to mind), I guarantee you that almost all of them would sell out preorders. I saw Smokey show up in my email as a preorder at BBTS. I felt the rush to get it preordered as fast as possible.

People would lose their minds on a FT insecticon reissue...the Dinobots...all of the other ones outside of Quakewave....I also believe Willis would sell out quick. It's crazy.

 

It'll most likely be at least a few more years before they get around to Dino and Insect 2.0. They've just got too many new figures they want to get out before the competition and they know that Gigapower is currently milking that cow anyway so it's just not as cost effective for them to do at the moment.

 

I think I've read somewhere that the Fans Toys manufacturers are also TF fans. So maybe they just want to make a lot of nice figures instead of grabbing lots of money.

 

nah, sorry. That was me painting with a slightly wide brush about knowing a rerelease or “2.0” figures are coming but someone is still expecting a high price for theirs, *cough* Downbeat, Etc. And not specifically about the dibots.

I get it, get what you can while you can, but they’re pricing themselves out of a sale because of the re-release.

I agree that quakewave have been bested by Takara. But it wasn't by much.
Hound is the same thing.
Although takara hound is pretty good ( i have him because no more willis anywhere ) but willis isn't any worst.
I think willis was better qc, from what i've seen from peoples breaking their hound.

Now FT will blow mp-13 away.
Although mp-13 is still good for such an old figure.
Just not the tapes.
Please work on that birdie and doggie.

Those are still a big mess.
Takara laserbeak is actually cartoon accurate and awesome.
Maybe he can be a little bit bigger.
I'm very pleased with ft rumble and frenzy. They look good. Way better then takara.

 

The history that I have seen with FT goes something like this:

First Production run
Initial release
After a number of months (~18) a second release
Possible special variant run (allowing a smaller production run to piggyback on it)
Variant release
Additional release of standard product

Move onto other production

 

Are you supposed to have a mini heart attack when you purchase a stomp on the aftermarket??
