I tried my hand at this idea as well not knowing there was already a digibash on a previous page (yours)... think mine is on 18. I much prefer this style to the FT version

 

Well thanks for going back to check mine out   I was careful to make sure my changes wouldn't effect the transformation. They would only have to make minor changes to let the new ear shape fit. I kinda hope Fans Toys sees my edit. I would really like if he had those tweaks done.

edit: also if you missed it I had another post earlier with a less complete digi, mentioning that I changed the shape of the eye, changed the shape of the inner ear and added the missing detail, made the pointed angle of the bottom of the nose less steep, and flattened and streamlined the whole top portion of his head.

I found it by accident on a google image search and actually thought it was mine by mistake... I much prefer your design alterations because they're very similar to what I attempted (badly). I really hope FT take a leaf out of Ocular max's book and make them a larger scale than the Takara MP tapes. I'm on the fence with this one though anyway, having the Hasbro version already. More interested in when Blitzwing and Astrotrain hit and what they plan to do with the con TM's.

Any tips for the digibashing wouldn't be unappreciated  

 

Thanks! Good to hear someone likes the pictures and edits I do. As far as advice do you mean from a technical standpoint or like more of creative? On a technical side I feel like I don't really know a ton lol. I think for me its more having an eye for the details and getting a good picture in my head of what the character should look like.

 

I would like to see the back of Soundwave's alt mode. I am hoping it is a flat surface and not a mess like Takara MP Soundwave.

 

Were there any updates on this at TFCon?

No I didn’t see him sadly

 

From looking at the original Acoustic Wave this is a completely different render/prototype so you have to consider just how many things they moved forward this year. My guess is this will get fasttracked after Berserk and Thomas are out but they have to catch up on these combiners. Next year we should see something and a full render of Sonic Wave. Remember they are also doing the tapes too and have finished a ton of figures so this takes time. Mostly at TFCons you want to promote your next few releases. They put out Hunk, Goose, Magnum, and Sheridan. I would have expected to see Chomp as well.
