So what is the actual deal with them? Are they truly gone and dead? I've seen other posts about some of the employees going to Fan Toys or somewhere else. Also, saw something about a lawsuit with MAAS Toys. The last official post on their Facebook page was 11/26/19. 20200504_222500.jpg

They've been off and on for a long while now. I'm surprised their last post was even that recent.

And that was only to say that they were closing the online store.

The owner is still around, MakeToys is coming back (they're the same company) so they're not *dead*, they're "dead".

If they can make a comeback in some capacity, they will. Right now, MP is hot, so MT is taking the lead. If CHUG becomes hot again, and Hasbro drops the ball again, they'll be back as FP.

Too much competition, as well. I think that their style was a little off-putting to some as well. It's all pretty much well-made, it's clearly a toy of the character they were aiming for, but some of the redesigns were such a different take and their transformations were sometimes needlessly complex that they painted themselves into a corner.

If that's the case, then you'd think they'd say something to that effect instead of just disappearing. Agreed, some were overly complicated but, they are meant for adults.

All the MP's are too expensive, 3rd party or not. I think they'd do well to drop Warbot Kastor Core, Function X Snapdragon or Apeface.

Shit, I'd be down for another run of LER-07 Pinchar.

Yeah, I'm not sure what their deal is on some of their release ideas. Pinchar, alone, would net them some serious fundage.

I think their Headmasters was the beginning of the end. I think it was their Highbrow that blew it and they just gave up after that. I have to wonder if they had gotten some inside info about TR and they said "screw it".

They showed off a pretty good Roller prototype the last time they had any activity. I'm still hoping it gets made.

Working on it. A3U is funding that endeavor as it's their exclusive.

Lots of bad guessing going on here. Probably best to just shoot the company a message directly via Social Media or email.

Or, if you know something, just share. You had some sort of a working relationship with them at one point, if memory serves. Speculation could end with one short and sweet post.

You write that but leave out confidentiality and general professionalism that goes along with that. **Shrugs**

    ----------------

Anyways, with companies in general I think people should be more open to asking things directly. A lot of these folks running them are pretty decent, outgoing people and a lot of people I think would be surprised that they get real, straightforward responses.

Many people have tried on their Facebook page. Nothing but crickets.

That's why I said email as well. I'm guessing you personally haven't because you stated people instead of yourself but I get it. If you feel like they haven't told anyone and won't talk to anyone I guess I don't understand what the goal of this thread was as per your wording you don't think anyone would really actually know?

(I'm not being argumentative her but just responding honestly. Only made the suggestion for the sake of helping.)

I actually did email them directly back in January but got no response. I and many others have posted questions on their FB page. They all go unanswered.

I was asking because I love their products and want more. I've been trying to collect them all as I can find and afford them.

Then that leads to the second sentence of your quoted post.

The goal was to try and get a straight answer. I'm hoping they're still around. I knew from some of your other posts that you had dealings with them in the past but didn't want to call you out directly. Maybe they're on here as well and could enlighten the Fandom.

I just lamented over FP the other day as I transformed Code. Their first 5 Headmasters were fantastic, then we got the awful Browning and never got Hardhead or the Horrorcons. Which is a damn shame. Same with the LER Dinobots which started off great (but quirky) and when they finally released Pinchar it was obvious that it needed another round of design before release.

Damn shame. First actual 3P company to release a full figure, loads of releases, then fading into obscurity. Communication with the fanbase was ironically their biggest weakness so they let... individuals and companies... take over that aspect and it damaged their reputation. FP Core in particular was a shitshow.

What did people dislike so much about Browning? He was my favorite of the Function X line along with Quad U. Loved the asymmetry and I remember people talking about its head not fitting into the others but that was a feature I haven't used to this day. Just wondering if there's something I'm missing.

I don't have him yet so I can't comment on that. I am looking if you've got an extra to unload.

On a side note, I do enjoy your review videos and am a subscriber.
