Still prefer function X to Hasbro's efforts myself. If they continue we will have a good Apeface and SnapDragon and not just some re-painted heads. Despite having Hardbone, thus actually already having all the classic autobot headmasters now, thanx FP, I would love to see FP's Hardhead.

    How tall is FP Highbrow?

Is he same height as Wierdwolf or Mindwipe?
(I don't have Chromedome or Brainstorm)

He's a little more than half a head taller than Weirdwolf.

Now that I've had a chance to get to know this guy, if he had a way to balance in his copter mode, me might be my favorite of the bunch. I love his transformation and his joints are probably the best of all of them. Its just crazy that the only way to display him in copter mode is to bend the tail down so he's like a tripod.

    Thanks. That's a good height.
He'll be at least a head taller than what the Hasbro one will be.

    Ordered!

I actually got into Function-X late, starting with Sigma L when he was a cheap weekend sale a couple months ago. I gotta say, I bought Sigma L because I loved the vampire aesthetics, but I went back and got Code, Smart Robin, and Quadruple U on Ebay and they really sold me on this line. In fact, Smart Robin just came last week, and Quadruple U came yesterday. Their transformations are just so clever. Their articulation isn't the best for a 3P toy, but when you're messing around with them they've just got this intangible fun factor that makes up for it. Gotta pay my bills first, but I think I'm going to get Browning and Crox soon.

The canopy doesn't close all the way. The guns dont fit into the holes in alt mode, and nothing really pegs together very well. Even then headmaster is loose. He looks likea jumbled mess in alt mode.

    Read two posts down. Edited

That doesn't sound good, and it sounds out of character for this line so far. The one thing I've been able to say for FP Bot's up to now is that quality hasn't usually been an issue.

Ok so I just transformed it again. I will take back what I said. The instructions arent the best. But after I set down and really looked at him, isnt so bad. Got the guns to fit and canopy to close. Not a bad figure

    Nice video review, TJ.

The alt mode is not very impressive. But the bot mode looks great, and the transformation looks as creative as the best of this line.

That headmaster looks a bit unfinished. Shouldn't the face at least have some paint?

All in all, I'm probably hooked. Sigh.

I can not get over that they didn't paint the pilot's face. Inexcusable.

Just got mine. It's not Smart Robin levels of genius but I like it.

Just an FP Hardhead to go and I can bow out of this Line.

I hope they keep this line going. There are still tons of Headmasters Has/Tak are not making, and i like these dudes better

Can anyone explain what is going on in the last picture in the manual? It seems like there is a piece that flips down to rest the tail section on. But I can't figure what is referring to. The manual copyright suggests that it was made in 2014, so was this a function that was removed before production? Thanks!

    That bums me out too.

Maybe when FP sends the "fix" to make his head compatible with all the others, they'll paint him.

It's not the question of "want" for me, it's more that FP is just not cranking out these fast enough. Maybe they are trying to stretch this line out a bit, seeing that they only have 3 more. But seriously, they can just crank out original HM characters as long as the transformation is ingenious.

Who says they only have 3 more? Just because Hardhead, Snapdragon, and Apeface are the last three not city-sized '87 Headmasters? Or because those are the only ones we've seen designs for? I'm looking forward to those 3, but I'd love it if they did the '88 Headmasters (Hosehead, Nightbeat, Siren, Fangry, Horri-Bull, and Squeezeplay... Nightbeat even has a ready repaint as Minerva). For that matter, XV and X6 have shown that the line didn't have to be Headmasters. I'd love a Sixshot that isn't MP10-sized, out maybe some Targetmaster or Powermasters. The three Japanese series are really rife with neglected characters.
