Are there people that are willing to pay that much for this set?

I'm contemplating on selling mine which have only been opened once.

It appears so. TFS sold a MIB set for $320 and another for $330. Retail was $430. Ebay listings for MIB or New sets are typically close to retail. It seems to be one of the combiner sets that holds it value pretty well. Even well-used sets on ebay go for 200-250.

As someone who hunted for the team members individual last year, I'd say another factor seems to be that the Dragstrip is very rare to find mint condition. I had the most trouble finding a good Dragstrip and a Quadruple-U Weirdwolf when I shopped for fansproject figures. Fansproject yellow figures seem to be particularly popular for whatever reason. They are very nice CHUG figures, so it kind of makes sense why they hold value.

I've lost my instruction book for Diesel/Motormaster. Does anyone have one they don't need? Also, did he come with a collector card?

Gotcha. This was really helpful! Thank you! I'll have to consider selling mine then.

I know instruction scans are out there, I might have them saved, let me look. And he did come with a collector card.

You guys keep bumping this thread, I had to start messing with them again.

    IMG_20180130_223319.jpg

I look at the Stunticons as chaotic thugs and the Technobots as technologically advanced.
These two sets work well with those ideas.

I loved displaying those sets together in their botmodes! Fansproject really was a master of CHUG a couple years ago. Fun, posable little guys with great designs and colors, and the plastic was strong af. The transformations were a bit of a pain and I got plenty of sore fingers transforming my Quantron bots into combined form but at least nothing broke. :)

2 really great sets. Thanks for the pics. My sets haven't been out of combined form for quite awhile, so thanks also for reminding me how great the bot modes are.

The Stunticons were my first third party figures. Still enjoy them. Transformation is still bothersome in a few places. Poseability is high.

    Assaulter! So awesome!

How are the Quantron transformations by comparison?

They're from the same designer (Menasor and Computron), and you can tell.
They all have that one or two spots where the clearances aren't great or it's more complex than it should be. Scattershot is probably the easiest to transform.

You get used to them after awhile.

And yes Assaulter is awesome. Picked him up a few months ago.

Hmmm... I watched a Make Toys transformation video for one of their Guardian limbs (Streetwise - what ever his 'not' name is), and I was like, ech... no. Even if I like that aesthetic. Don't know if that was the same designer, but regardless.

I missed out on Assaulter when he popped up at Transformerland.com. Oh well. He'll pop up (somewhere) again.

Yes that's the same designer as well for Defensor.

I got lucky and found Assaulter MIB at a local Toyshop for $70.

Yup. Still love em for what they are, though they are a bit dated by today's standards.

I actually took a nail clipper and shortened the overly-long pegs that hold Breakdown and Wildrider's legs in place in robot mode. Getting those holes into those pegs required me to BEND some plastic, and it was too stressful (both for the plastic and for myself)

Cross-post from the MT Computron thread.

I had an idea for a "story." It started with a picture I saw of Menasor punching Computron. I also wanted to include Scattershot's siege cannon mode.
After Menasor's arm came off, I started thinking about Monty Python's Black Knight.. and well.. you'll see.
