Nope just the perfect size a gestalt hands should be. They convey power and make him more imposing and bad ass. A design trope common in sci-fi/fantasy, especially with giant robots that's been a thing for over 20 years.

Come to think of it I think the last time Transformers even had consistently "humanoid" proportioned robot designs was specifically the 80s era of cartoons.

Also it makes sense for a regular sized tf to have more humanoid proportions, as they actually require the practical applications of that. But a gestalt exists solely to kill and destroy or in the case of autobot gestalts defend from other big robots who solely exist to kill and destroy. They have zero need for being practical in proportion, the more power they have the better they are at what they exist to do and that often means bigger limbs, massive fists, well protected smaller heads that aren't giant easy targets for weapons fire and so on.

Huh. I think that must be something like how BBTS got all the dud-elbow MMC Cyclops figures that were part of a particular batch, hence why only BBTS got the parts to fix that. No such replacement part was ever mentioned to me by FP, and my personal copy's combined rifle fits just fine in the hands, so I believe the correction is already made.

I just discovered that they actually made it so you have to point the connectors at a specific direction to release them easily.

Once you've detached LC and DF simply rotate the connectors so that the ossilator detailing is pointing forward and the little fold out waist clamps are facing backward. While the connectors aren't super loose in this direction they are definitely looser and much easier to pull off.

Also make sure they are completely straight, he has the double joint shoulders after all you want them as rigid as possible. Simply pull directly outward and they'll come off just fine.

My left is looser than my right when doing this so it will still require some force to get em off but just not as much at this direction. I don't think it really matters where they're sitting when you do, just seems easiest this way.

Turn his hands back so it's facing straight to the back and it'll be in the correct position to be released.

^I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Peaugh pointed that out in his review.

Anyone have suggests for a melee weapon for Diesel?

M3 has a clear samurai motif that fits his sword, but Diesel . . .i'm not sure.

He has 5mm hands - i tested out Generations Stepper's targetmaster on him and it works

I'm thinking a staff of some sort? Maybe a mace? Something black/grey/purple

Eh either way works, I prefer taking the cars off first myself, less stuff in the way of grabbing the connector.

    Speaking of the cars:

The calf guns seem to work great with TBone and CarCrash. The foot guns though are trickier to keep in place on LC n DF, have to transform them a little to make it kinda work.

So did anyone who ordered from TFSource get an extra gun handle that they don't need?

I got the bum gun handle, but I didn't get the fixed piece, I checked and rechecked the box and the bubble-wrap. My M3 can't pack the heat!

He did, that's how I knew to do it. But he didn't make it a point of emphasis as it was during the part he was going from diesel to m3 gestalt mode. He was removing the shoulder bits and mentioned aligning the pieces. That's how I knew.

    Should be fine now.

He can hold both Collossus and Hexatron's blades rather well:

It is well documented now that Hasbro are making toys specifically aimed at younger kids and ones aimed at older collectors. Many young kids can't transform the more advanced figures so hasbro has opted to make some much simpler ones for them.

They also said just because these new toys aimed at kids exist doesn't mean this will effect the main generations/classics line as those are still aimed more at older kids/collectors.
