Wooooo got home early, said I'll do legs tomorrow and then............... One of my solerons is missing an arm and a leg, doubt I'll be able to get parts either as this is pretty limited. Well one of them is perfect at least! Lol
just hopped in to say this repaint/slight retool looks awesome. That chainsaw weapon looks so sick (would love to have that in the green for my original steel core)!!! Although Grimmy should (always) come with a sword......
Royal Mail says I have to pay £20.14 customs before my parcel can be delivered, bastards! Never happens with eBay or Amazon purchases! Kind of sours it for me... if this figure isn't spectacular I'll sell it on.
Probably because FP put full price on the shipping label. He's pretty damn great though so I hope you enjoy him!
Ah man, customs charges are always the killer. Unfortunately FansProject don't mark down so every time I've ordered something from them I've had a fee from Royal Mail. Kapow toys have confirmed they'll have this bad lad at TF Nation this year too.
If you've handled the mould before and enjoyed it, you'll enjoy this figure. If you've never handled it, it's an awesome figure, and was one of the most posable and play friendly 3rd party figures when it came out. He does lack wrist articulation, which can be a bit of a bummer, but overall he's a fantastic figure.
Speaking of, we need Nonnef or someone to make a new hand and transformation hinge/wrist so there is a wrist swivel. Honestly wouldn't be hard to design.
Mine showed up today! I wasn't expecting it so soon, I figured since I preordered Beastructor while I was there they would wait to ship it together. Not going to have a chance to open it for a while but very excited just the same.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s my first warbot (got it only because it’s Grimlock) and it certainly is a really fun figure despite the wrist articulation. Will fiddle with it abit more tomorrow.
After having this guy for a few days I can say he is amazing and now i can't decide if I like him or Steelcore more haha. One thing I've noticed in comparison is that Severos tolerances are slightly better/tighter except the hip/crotch piece that they loosened off for good reason. There are only two gripes I personally have. The paint apps seem a little thing in places on mine, the eyes are thin enough to see the line between the silver face painting and the black plastic where it ends, also some of the panel lines are even thinner to the point that the red line just fades away completely. (Camera is making the paint look thicker than in person) The second gripe is that when you transform him with his gun in hand the corner of the gun where the trailer hitch hole is hits up against the last claw and in theory if you forced it could snap the claw off, luckily I became aware of this before that happened. Still a strong recommend from me, this mould has always been amazing and does not disappoint!
One thing I've noticed about mine is that their are "scratches" on the underside of the hand (where it rests against the forearm) and its hinge. Specifically three lines. I checked my Steelcore and there's basically the same thing, but with two lines instead of three. They don't look like they're really cause for concern, but I'm kind of puzzled why they're there in the first place. Anybody else have those, and have any idea where they came from?
Those are not scratches, I believe they are little lines from where the plastic was injected into the moulds. My Servo and Steel cores are all the same as yours. No need to worry at all.
Oh no. After bragging how fast it got to the states, the last scan was 7/26 in San Fran, and nothing else since. I feel ill. If they're sold out, they can't replace it. Anyone deal with FP site and missing packages? I'm going to be so sad if this is indeed lost.
