Here I clicked to see if the shells had become easier to get with a lower price. LOL.

I WOULD HAVE loved a complete Dinoking, but I am tired of getting d***** around with, so it looks like I won't be spending any money on this set at all.

So, it looks like Dinosan was available at TFCon. So I guess he'll hit online stores pretty soon.

I already have the first 2 bots, and combined mode so far is awesome and very solid, but yeah what they're doing with the shells is bullshit. There's a big chance that I can get them cheaper than 70 here in HK, but I doubt that it will be as cheap as I think it deserves.

Third figure was on sale at tfcon but you had to buy all three to get it. 160 for all three.

Wow that's super cheap. Are you sure. The first TWO figures alone are 160 dollars at online stores. Is this like buy two get one free?

The shell distribution is still a work in progress. They're BIG, and a lot of the logistics/cost of shipping them en masse is based on volume, not weight. They want to do the shells for the fans (from what I understand they're not making much profit on them), but they're trying to find a way to get them out there in a way that the shipping involved doesn't make the price unfair. Yes, they haven't been cheap yet, but they're doing what they can to get them out there while they figure out the logistics.

They need to package the smaller robot inside the shells to help with that then IMVHO

Thanks for chiming in though I appreciate it. Hopefully they find a way, maybe having only china sellers selling them would help ?

LOL about the volume thing. FP always like big boxes containing mostly empty space. The Intimidator limbs, Function X shoe scale boxes, etc.

I think they are just shocked that people are not willing to throw money at them anymore.

I just picked one up at the con, and I can tell you they didn't waste any space inside the box. These things are just huge. That being said all of Toyworld's newer style boxes with the styrofoam are bigger so I don't know how they don't have the same problems. And yeah $50 was my max for these shells but at the end of the day I wasn't going to miss out over $20. Supposedly these are LE500 worldwide, but they weren't clear whether this is just a con exclusive version or if there will be a different version for normal retail.

160 for all three is cheap, and probably an incentive to get the shell. but once you factor in travel to/from the con, unless you're local its not saving much, only $50.

though i wish the robots were that price off the bat, most probably wouldn't mind paying a little more for the shells then.

I wonder if they'd consider selling them direct out of Asia and letting the consumer eat the shipping charges? Certainly not ideal, but many of us buy from Asia anyway and are used to it.
