So I completely forgot about this and wanted to get this set for awhile.

Is Chosen Prime the best place (price wise) to get the set with the shells?

What are the major issues with the set to avoid breakage?

Over strong Leg springs in Dino Ichi have been known to make his Ratchets break.

Yeah for my figure, I took apart the leg and shortened the spring somebamd now I have no issues and the ratchets work just fine.

 

Yes most people find clipping a spring in half and using each half in the leg seems to work fine - unless you want to got with 2/3rd strength instead.

 

I cut 1/3rd off each spring on mine. Afterwards, the knees still had a nice tension them but not to the point of snapping the plastic tabs off the ratchets.

If anyone in here has some MFT figures as well, can you take some side by side comparison pics with these guys? I'm tempted to get the Monstructer version of this set, but would like to see some comparison shots first.

 

I have absolutely no MFT figures, but I can tell you he's basically the same size as a stock Combiners Wars combiner

 

Is the ab crunch in Dinoking a ratchet joint?

 

Yeah...I know, but seeing the physical items in question helps, since I have no Deluxes to compare with.

Oh and plus it gave me a chance to take apart the combiner and mess with the figures. Which pretty much convinced me to get the Monstructor version! These guys are cool and pretty fun to mess with!
