Does MakeToys shop carry FansProject items?
I was browsing the MT page and for some reason thought it applied to this.
So, I guess nobody yet made any bicep rotation upgrade for these two?
haven't seen anything about one. I'll take a look at it whenever I get mine and see what the joint is like but from @Kuma Style 's pictures It looks like the shoulder and arm above the elbow are a single static piece? That'd be hard to modify; a full on replacement piece would probably be "easier".
You know? I've been without them this long. I think I am going to gamble 3 more months. I know they have them. I know they're willing to put them on sale. I am going to roll the dice and hope for a Black Friday sale. Maybe it's a stupid idea, but that's my plan.
Same here. $40 is the magic number for me...
im inclined to agree with yall, though i would like comera to use as slash with my planet x dinobots
I cannot believe that no one is dumping this and I can’t find it for less than $90. I thought for sure that they would be clearance items. People love fembots more than I lol
a big warning to everyone who has comera or echara or intends to buy either.
the peg that holds the ball for the ankle joints is only connected to the leg as a semi-circle, half of it just "floats".
this makes it a very weak point, and along with the tight ball joint it means it will break very easily even when handled carefully.
my suggestion is to either open the leg up and drop a bit of glue on the floating peg part to make the connection a full circle, or rebuild the entire joint using a more reliable connection.
both feet broke off on mine, and I'm now in the process of rebuilding the joints using Lego ball joints.
Nah, man. People like to complain. I have 'em both and they're a ton of fun. I consider them proof that there are a lot more people interested in new or fun ideas than actually speak out. Toys like these and Badcube's Natures line will likely keep me collecting long after I thought I'd be done.
So it is a problem, that sucks when emgo was reviewing if I remember correctly POTP dinobots I think he showed Comera with both ankles broken.
I just looked at mine as I left it in the box an there's stress on the right one.
at this point you might still be lucky, you can probably save it with a tiny drop of glue.
once the foot comes of you'll have to replace the joint.
Minor stress marks on mine, I've glued the area around that stem now. Thanks for the warning!
Does anyone know how to loosen joints with oil or WD40? One of my ankles is way tighter than it should be.
just dropping a photo of my crude repair job.
this is my 2nd joint transplant, this time a full transplant.
the Lego ball joint balls have a larger base, making them easier to glue securely than the original ones.
Glad I didn’t drop $90 on this cause I would be highly upset
bonus picture, the original ball joints.
the left one is untouched and shows the flaw quite well, the right one is after an attempt to glue it back and and a couple of attempts to remove the ball from the socket.
you cannot re-use the existing socket.
Wow I never knew. I backed off of this due to the high price for a figure with no transformation. The Dino claws clipping over her wrists was laughable! Now I know why no one is selling it.
It seems a decent amount of people have enjoyed theirs, I've never known of this issue til now and mine's changed poses a lot. I'm just gluing it as a precaution personally. It's a pretty easy fix, thankfully. Undo a couple screws and blob on some super glue careful not to get too much near the stem.
I have Echara which I have taken out of the box maybe 6 times an transformed her maybe 4, I noticed when I checked a few days ago about the ankle problems an was going to fix them because they have stress marks on them that her ankles are really stiff now.
I'm afraid to move them their so stiff, an I didn't do any fixes to it.
I think I will leave it alone. I was going to buy Comera but I refuse.
