Not really, take into account CNY which shuts down production in China for like 2 - 3 months.
I wasn't aware that it was so long.
It is only 1 month long however the ramp down time then the restart time at Factories plus playing catch up on orders received over that month - it snowballs so you end up with a 2-3 month period where there is nothing but production runs for the big companies.
And I learned something new today.
If this line goes on long enough I think it would be the perfect place to release 'updated' versions of the Retro Future Glacialbots.
My TF Columpio will be up for trade or sale shortly, if anyone is interested.
Just pretend the first 3 months of the year, and maybe partly December too, like write-offs, and you have a safer realistic scheduling / expectations,, that's all. Sometimes, factories feel they wont make the cut off date, or only a smaller portion gets done, and sold / sent, and sometimes it just gets pushed back till march release.
By the way, my hips ball joints / and swivel have gotten looser than the first day (I play with this and transform him in both modes everyday), but still maintains all positions perfectly and I still don't have any problems with it, and loving it so much. The other joints are all still great . Keep note that the gun will be loose when held in the hand, but I think I've mentioned it before.
That said, just because it looks so simple, sometime next week, I will take the legs out of the ball joints, add scotch tape or stronger material to the ball (instead of future), and put it back together, just to test it out. One thing I like is that they have so many huge ball joints on this figure.
This guy looks so fantastic and so much fun in both modes, I would only personally consider selling it if I wanted the Normal Version instead, but I think that is not going to happen.
I really think figures this big should have ratcheted joints for the shoulders and hips. It's one thing MMC is better at over everyone.
Why not future?
Yes, MMC is one of the best quality for sure, they have some of the toughest builds ever, and you can man handle them. That said, when something is loose or becomes looser and isn't a ball joint, it's harder to fix, like the hips on Bovis are much looser than on Fortis, and fixing it is more challenging.
Thinking of trying something different and see how it works, and ball joint is so big that I think this would be the ideal fix and fastest result. I will be doing it on some of my Hasbro Arcee figures, as my dino queen is having a thougher time holding her bow. It's actually Griffith who gave me the suggestions long ago to put a plastic or other material for added friction. Will report back next week.
Interesting, I still think Future is the longer lasting solution but it does take more time as you need to wait for coats to dry then give it 24 hours to cure.
If anyone with Columpio has a Maketoys giant please throw some pics up here for us. Really looking forward to this set.
LOL classic! Amazing shots.
These just show up as tiny white squares to me?
EDIT: NM, fixed it.
