Sigma L is my favourite next to Smart Robin.

I know that its a phrase the character used in the G1 toon, it doesn't make it any less of an awful name.

It would be no different than naming a bot "IllSaveYouSpike" or some other random statement the character uttered.

the best of the fpj headmasters, with great plastic and paintjob and is quite big too, my only gripe is the wings on shoulders instead of the back, making him look silly in certain poses

When did Mindwipe ever say "Sigma L"? Or "Sigma Right Angle," for that matter? :peoples:

Pft, everyone knows it's an anagram for "La Gism"

If you take the Sigma symbol and turn it 90 degrees clockwise, it looks like an M. If you turn it counterclockwise it looks like a W. My guess is Sigma L is supposed to represent MW for Mind Wipe like Quad U represents WW for Weird Wolf.

LOL. They invested more time in the anagram as opposed to the figure itself. W also stands for Wing, or in this case Lousy Wing Placement.

I really like Mindwipe. His colors really pop! I think while his transformation is simple, there is enough going on to keep me intersted. I'll have to pick up Combes Robin sometime though, everyone keeps talking about Smart Robin, and while I don't need another Brainstorm I would love a version of that mold.

It wasn't stuck. It's a common thing people don't realize... You have to pull on the forehead so it slides forward.

I just watched the Peaugh video review of Combes Robin and he is awesome! I love the colors and the transformation of the legs and chest! The paint jobs and colors are superb and once I get Sigma L and hopefully Quadruple U, Combes Robin will be next.

Just got my Sigma L today, really cool colours and I love the headmaster gimmick. I was worried it would not stand in bat mode due to the tiny legs but I was surprised to see that it did. I know alot of people don't like the wing placement but I don't mind it at all but then again it went staright back in the box to be stored away until I have room to show him off. So maybe then I will think the same. I love the coffin shape on his back too makes it an interesting figure.

I was so tempted to dive back into this line and grab Mindwipe, but with Maketoys producing MP scaled Chromedome and now Hardhead, its hard to justify something that is scaled with only a few of my figures versus something that scales with the bulk of the collection. How does he stack up against an mp car? With an animal alt mode I could maybe make an exception, especially since he's a bit taller than the others

I have never got the into the whole scale thing, I don't use the comics or the cartoons as frames of reference except to say that a combiner needs to be bigger than most single bots. The figures are what they are and if I like the look and feel then I keep them. Looking at him he is bigger than MP car by a little ways (I may be wrong). But then again he is a bat so it is all subjective.

It's been a long time since I've made any stop motion. Well, it's a new year and so time to get back at the ol' iPad and make something move! I present to you: G2 Mindwipe! He wasn't in Transformers Generation 2, but I liked the way the Deception symbols from G2 looked on him more than the usual G1 Deception symbols. This is mostly a photo montage but there is some animation I made today that I added in. I hope you all enjoy!

Nope, Classics-ish scale. Somewhere between Deluxe and Voyager sized.

Fansproject doesn't do MP-type items, period.

I agree about the Smart/Combes Robin mold. I love the color scheme of Combes Robin. And not to be 'that guy', but it's not Brainstorm to me unless he has the pronounced wings on the shoulders: the guns stored on the back with their tiny fins sticking out doesn't cut it for me.
