What about Fangs or Pulse? He is a bat with speakers

 

Ha! Yeah, that's pretty much exactly the reason why I picked him up a year ago. Looked great with a Dr. Wu Scythe, and couldn't resist him with Halloween right there.

 

Well hopefully you enjoy your purchase but I'd say Mindwipe is the weakest FP headmaster.

My ranking would be:
1. Smart Robin
2. Quadruple U
3. Code
4. Sigma L

I don't have Crox yet.

Which version of the Dr. Wu Scythe you have? I'm getting the black one. The re-color of the purple version isnt the right color of Function L.

 

Since I dont have any of them yet, so I can't say, but after watching Peaughs review Sigma L and Quadruple U these are top notch.

I like all four (no Crox yet, I'll order him when I get back from vacation).
Sigma L doesn't have that "oh snap that's BRILLIANT moment" that the others have at one point or another in the transformation, but he makes up for it in just how beautiful he is.

 

I think Sigma L makes up for his lack of engineering brilliance with visual cleverness instead. Details like his high vampire collar and coffin-shaped cockpit, along with all the speaker-like details to represent his hypnotic sonic abilities (details which are technically present, in part, on the G1 toy, but aren't made particularly prominent) are simply wonderful.

 

This. It's like they didn't have a fancy engineering gimick and didn't want to force one so all their efforts went into visual design instead.

 

Sigma L is my favourite next to Smart Robin.

 

I know that its a phrase the character used in the G1 toon, it doesn't make it any less of an awful name.

It would be no different than naming a bot "IllSaveYouSpike" or some other random statement the character uttered.

 

the best of the fpj headmasters, with great plastic and paintjob and is quite big too, my only gripe is the wings on shoulders instead of the back, making him look silly in certain poses

 

When did Mindwipe ever say "Sigma L"? Or "Sigma Right Angle," for that matter?  

 

Pft, everyone knows it's an anagram for "La Gism"

 

If you take the Sigma symbol and turn it 90 degrees clockwise, it looks like an M. If you turn it counterclockwise it looks like a W. My guess is Sigma L is supposed to represent MW for Mind Wipe like Quad U represents WW for Weird Wolf.

 

LOL. They invested more time in the anagram as opposed to the figure itself. W also stands for Wing, or in this case Lousy Wing Placement.

 

I really like Mindwipe. His colors really pop! I think while his transformation is simple, there is enough going on to keep me intersted. I'll have to pick up Combes Robin sometime though, everyone keeps talking about Smart Robin, and while I don't need another Brainstorm I would love a version of that mold.

 

I love him except the green visor on the head got stuck and broke off. anyone else had this problem? any luck with replacements from BBTS?

It wasn't stuck. It's a common thing people don't realize... You have to pull on the forehead so it slides forward.
