Sure, as soon as I give up and fork out the money for Dinoking, they drop Monstructor...

Too bad the only thing they're not giving up on is severely dated stuff. Their pricing is also severely dated, but they never really did get with the program on that one. Though I'm sure someone will scream at me and defend the pricing like the last time I dared to criticise FansProject's trash. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
From what I remember hearing, they're not all that great. Just, you know, to save you time. I'd still recommend watching reviews anyway, but there's a reason they didn't sell all that well and shelf-warmed.

I'd take a non-Wildfly and non-Bristleback in a heartbeat if they were sold separately. Love the colors on those particular molds.

First thing I thought of when I saw the price

Yeah I can't say I'm over the moon about this news. Hopefully we'll hear some news about the rest of their Fx Headmasters. I still really really want them to finish the set.

Ditto. I didn't feel right about pulling the trigger on Dinoking until I was able to get the full set of shells as well.

At least it looks like a new face sculpt, on the same head/skull.

FP has kinda dropped the ball in basically every regard. With the 3P market shifting away from CHUG after combiners, other companies have found their niches (MP-style, Legends-style only like IF, or a mix of both), but one of the forefathers of the 3P side of business is just...floundering now.

And given the mixed reception the original version got, who's going to pay $350 for this? I see it being heavily discounted at TFS before long.

I think they could keep working on Classics-style stuff easily, but they refuse to get with the times. Prices, quality control, general quality - it's all lacking. They really have dropped the ball in every regard.
And as nice as those Dino Force shells were, they were extremely expensive, especially for a complete set. They should have just made them out of plastic instead of vinyl, but nope, they had to be special snowflakes.

You know, for a minute I though this was some kind of Beast Wars-themed repaint. Mainly because of the name and the fact that the one guy looks a lot like Airazor. And I assumed they'd done Monstructor already.

Really glad I was more of a Dinoking fan over Monstructor, looking at them both I really prefer the Dinoking colors. This combiner is decent in combined mode, the top three bots are cool, crotch-bot is trash, and the legs are underwhelming at any price. Glad fans are getting the deco they wanted but I’m good with the first run.

I got the original version but I passed on the stupid shells. I like this version but I dont $350 like it. I do $200 like it so I hope it flops and I would consider buying it on black friday.

To those that mistakenly believe that \"3P has moved away from CHUG and is now MP\", that\'s not true.  They\'re are plenty of kits and figures for this area.  I\'d say that there are equal amounts for both.

As for this set, I\'m not interested.  FP lost my interest since their their dinobots and this Pretender shell-free Monstructor isn\'t doing it for me.

    Easy pass.

Looks good but, it is a wee bit too much. Great for those that want it and can afford it.

I've been yearning for a Monstructor, but it's gotta have the shells! Please 3rd Parties-- someone give us a Monstructor with shells!

    An opinion noted.

I, however, have no qualms in putting this in my MP line-up. Monstructor was, after all, a MicroMaster team. And, in the G1 toys, far removed from the same design as Prime or the other Diaclones.

    Up at BBTS.

It’ll probably happen. FP is pretty much done. It’s a shock this is even happening. I don’t think the price is bad but I’m out on 3rd parties. I’m totally fine with what we get from hasbro and takara nowadays. Only person who sees my collection is me. I don’t post my stuff online, I don’t feel the need to impress anyone so I only get what I feel has meaning to me. If hasbro makes a monstructor from POTP figures and only is 5 members that’s fine. I don’t care becuase while I love monstructor from IDW I don’t even know a single members name.
