I pulled the legs outward for an A stance and then the right one wouldn't click back into a straight position, as if it were frozen. I knew I should take it apart to see what the problem was, but decided to try just a little more force...which was the wrong thing to do.

After taking it apart I noticed the ratcheting gear for that hip's outward movement has two teeth that are bigger than the others. I think the little pointy thing that clicks the gears (please pardon my use of professional technical terminology) got stuck on those larger teeth. Really weird problem.

I just wanted to say I am truly enjoying all of these theories about assaulter and his mass shifting. It's like brain junk food!

was moving my display around and as i picked up assaulter he felt like he needed a little attention - little loose in some spots, but looking pretty good overall. i futured him up and hes better than ever now. i dont have a wreckers display so maybe ill throw him in with overlord. looking over my collection it seems like im always concerned with the next thing and dont spend much time with who i have.

still have steelcore, who i may sell. no place in the collection for him to really fit :/

I'm moderately interested in Steelcore (without a trailer), so...

I still admire my Assaulter figure regularly, as it's displayed above my computer monitor. I have his two guns attached to the sides of his forearms, making his silhouette more striking. (can be attached in multiple different ways for different looks) And then he's wielding a big misc. 3P rifle.

Any one experience this problem where the screw loosen and fell out disconnecting one of the leg wings from the leg?

I'm not sure if it is even repairable since it looks like the metal leg assembly pieces are glued together? Not much clearance space to use a screwdriver either.

Probably possible to jerry-rig a tool solution to deal with that screw. A short screwdriver bit and a small monkey/socket wrench, for instance.

I honestly really like it. It does everything I'd expect a broadside figure to do at classics scale. I just honestly wish it was an inch or so bigger

This guy is one of my absolute favorite third party figures. Built like a rock. Or an aircraft carrier. he also just looks phenomenal, I like all 3 modes (even if the carrier mode is a bit "creative.")

Agreed. I still think out of all of the FP figures this one most closely captures the character. I wish someone sold the flat top/shield because that really finished off the figure well and I think is the best solution for that mode.

It's weird, I like both his alt-modes, but the fact he doesn't have an aircraft carrier just makes me sad. I love his space carrier mode, but a Broadside without an aircraft carrier mode is just incomplete. It would be like my definitive Optimus Prime mold being a racecar.

It would be more like Optimus Prime being a space/hover truck instead of a regular truck.
And just like Broadside here, I want to see it done.
I would like to own this Broadside, but I found out about it well after it's release.

Also, Optimus was a red Lamborghini Diablo in 1995, a red Nissan GT-R in 2009 (in an almost homage to the Diablo), and a black and red Nissan GT-R racecar in 2013.

So there is a precedent for him being a racecar. The Alternity vehicle modes are great but do sacrifice bot mode with their full interiors, similar to the larger Alternators.
