As cool as this set is, I'm still on the fence about it. It's weird paying substantially more for an add-on kit like this than I did for the toy it's supplementing. The City Commander set was one thing, but a $50+ accessory set for a $30 toy just to get hands, feet, and guns will take some noodling-over.

Screw that. This upgrade set makes that combiner set worthwhile for the first time EVAR.

I'm getting it, but its to bad they couldn't come up with a part to help keep the torso together.

i totally agree with you, its a lot of extra money to cough up for not a whole lot, but it does add a whole lot more to superion. he looks fantastic with the upgrade, too bad hasbro couldnt of just done this from the start. i am going to get the set but too bad its not a bit cheaper.

I think parts-formers work for combiners. If the bot looks good, its worth it.

It's odd when your paying a substantial amount more for arms and feet than the combiner itself. As shibamura said it isn't a full blown fgure upgrade like City Commander. I'm on the fence as well, the unfortunate thing being that this won't be around forever at this price.

If it were just the limbs, it might not be worth it, but the fact they make it work for the jet mode and throw in guns and whatever... that's the extra little touch factor that makes Fans Project stuff rock. Got mine on order to complement the custom Aerialbot team I'm working on. G1 inspired... but not Silverbolt and co.

I think I just decided not to get these, if they make a Bruticus set I will be all over it, I like him more. That said I have never been a fan of any Superion Toy other than the Micromaster Version, Sixwing rocks.

From what I learned at TFCON, this set isnt even designed by Fansproject. Some one else designed it but needed help in manufacturing and distrubution. If FP didnt step in to help mass produce it, we would probably never see it. It would end up being harder to get a hold of and probably cost a whole lot more. Sort of liek the Nano-Bot roadbuster upgrade set.

I for one love the set. I like the clever design that it is not just a set of parts but they actually become accessories for the individual figures.

I pre-ordered it as soon as I got the ROTF Superion set. I sold my Energon set a while back. and when I saw the upgrade set, it made me want to get the ROTF version.

I've messed with a partly complete Energon Superion, and while I'm planning to get ROTF Superion, I can't find justification for just the extra apendages seeing as how I actually like how the Combiner is originaly designed.

sorry too much, i can't justify it if it was less than the priceof the toy you need to use then fine but at $50 its just too little for too much money

Yeah I have always liked superion andwhen I saw that upgrade set, I took the plunge and bought the ROTF Superion and pre-ordered the FP set. It really does look so much cooler with it. I can't wait to get mine.
