That pic is a Tornado ADV, but the G1 figure and this toy are based on the Tornado IDS----which is a shorter, stumpier version of the plane. So the toy is even closer...

My comment was directed towards the size of the canopy glass which locks correct on the Fans Hobby one and too stumpy on the G1 toy.

But thanks for that insights, I learned something today. :)

The real thing has a HUGE tailfin, which messes with the overall proportions. Its nickname is The Fin, or, The Mighty Fin. (if he be worthy...)

I think technically the wings look fine, it's the tail that's messy. :D

Ya, I guess that’s what it is. Hope they can sort that out before releasing it.

It's weird that the wings slide back for combined mode----because that's also where they should be in normal jet mode. It's like they designed in a feature/hinge that only is used to make alt-mode wrong...

(they're slid up/forwards in all the pics of F-16 mode so far, which just looks weird)

Somehow i see Dreadwind body slightly elongated and the foot is very small. Like the combine mode though.

Looking at this image, it looks like there’s a matching piece of kibble to the wing hinge near the back, that makes it seem like the wings are meant to slide back for plane mode.
But then it would make the front look weird as there’s also a piece of moulding at the front that lines up with the wings. I’m so confused.

Exactly. It's like they made it slide forward and molded it to match up that way---but that's wrong. It should be slid back in both jet modes. And the front should be molded to line up THAT way.

I think the placement of the wings should be further back from that "match up" for sure, but I don't think by much. That point where it looks like they should meet with the fuselage should actually be curved instead of cut off in a way that looks like the wings should match up. Seriously, there's that part of the viper hood that just shouldn't be there, and the wings should be just behind it.

I STILL think a lot of the off-shape is because the back section with the tail is too long, and it makes it all look off. Looks like the tail is sized right, but the base ends right before the hinge. So they might have felt they had to elongate the rear panel to fit it instead of heaving the tail base stick out and overlap onto the fuselage on the other side of said hinge.

The wings themselves also might be a bit too long to make up for the longer body. Usually I don't really care about whether a jet mode is accurate or not, so long as it's most of the way there. But maybe because I love the F-16 so much I just see it all more.

Overall, I think I'll be over it pretty fast in hand. Still can't wait to get these guys.

This looks awesome. Just, just awesome! I was sitting on the fence before, but now I'm all in. I don't care how much it costs, but I will own that flight stand!

I really want to like these two, but the gray protos are leaving a little to be desired. I'll wait to see colored pictures and some in-hand reports.
