But fuck yeah i'd love IDW Soundwave from GC. That armored 6-wheeler would look awesome.

Yeah, while I would have ideally wanted Doubledealer to be bigger, say, on par with Onslaught, i'll take what I can get. Seems like he'll be pretty good either way.

Not exactly a Picasso if you catch my drift, but here's my somewhat rough attempt at bashing this guy.

This guy was fucking hard. Up there with my Cang Toys Razorclaw in terms of difficulty if not harder. A lot of the little details couldn't be made out thanks to the coloring of the original proto.

 

As obscure as he is, you'll get lucky if Fanshobby repaints Doubledealer into him.
Nobody cares about a nobody who appeared in an IDW cover once.
The chances of any 3p doing him are nihil.

Doubledealer on the other hand?
I love that guy too. Awesome character and I love that Fanshobby is doing him so accurately.
Looking forward to Fanstoys doing him someday.

Kinda, their fairly reliable on pushing out releases at a decent rate. Never seen something take forever for a release once its gone to proto with them. Can't say the same for renders though... Rip in pepperoni g2 Megatron.

 

I've heard Soundwave, let alone IDW Soundwave, be called many things.
Obscure hasn't been one of them until now.

Going off recent releases. Minerva was about 18 months from announcement to release and Goshooter was announced toward the end of 2019 and should be out soon. So Double Dealer maybe 1.5-2 years from now?

About as expected. Tail's different but not terrible. The wing shape almost looks more like the DaVinci glider sketches than to the original toy.

 

I've been enjoying their stuff. It's intended MP scale, but I don't have a concept of scale for a missile truck. So like the Monsterbots, he's potentially fine next to generations if you assume he big.

Sadly, I just purchased the ER version and upgrade kit, so I have no appetite for this boy. Colored test shots will have to excite me something special to change that. Well, that and the current toy doesn't hit it. That one-two punch turned me around on Cacus.
