In this case, I'm not really bothered. I could go either way, with or without the blocks. I'm more concerned with springer's stick legs as a toy homage. Doesn't work at all.

As packed as 2017 is for FT, I think they've given us enough clues to predict their 2018 releases also.

So far they've shown Hot Rod, and after some work, he'll be ready early in 2018. We know they're working on Arcee and Cyclonus, and their most recent tease and semi-confirmed active project is Devastator. They've also shown their render for Mindwipe and hinted at another decepticon headmaster, likely skullcruncher.

So that's 11 figures in 2018 already.

If they consider Devastator to be their "big release", similar to Omega and skyfire, then we're looking at 5 regular sized figures. I think that's pretty close to their release list from 2017.

If we're lucky and Daliannjj has been listening to the message boards, maybe they'll throw magnus into the mix, since everyone seems to be clamouring for him lately. Then, another carbot would seem like an obvious choice (Sunstreaker, Mirage, or Jazz), although FT has stated that they're not working on Jazz, repeatedly. Here's my response to that



Finally, another mini-bot wouldn't be out of the question (cliffjumper or brawn) or maybe a targetmaster? How about Scourge? Is he going to be another tease we end up chancing for the next few years, like skyfire. Blurr and Rodimus would round off the movie characters nicely...

 

Nah, my collection isn't complete until I have MP versions of every character from 1984 through 1987.

Although I fear that means it will never be complete, because an MP take on the Deluxe Insecticons seems unlikely to happen.

 

Is it known what the next FT release is?

It seems to have gone really quiet...

Time to update this thread.

Not just because FT announce MP Superion, but four products from list are still in develop.

 

Would be nice to see an updated schedule of releases. See when we can expect a few figures.

 

Apache is almost ready to be released. After him I want to see Rouge and Berserk. Then FT are free to surprise me. It would be nice to have an update on the coming releases though.

 

Any revised release dates for these?

At this stage I foresee much of those figures coming out in 2018. We may see Apache in December. Based off of past releases I would say Ethereaon will come out 4th quarter of 2018, maybe early 2019.

As for Koot. There has to be some retailers that still have him in stock somewhere. Search around. If he really is completely sold out, which I doubt. A second run won’t be until 2019. (Disclaimer: this is an educated guess based off of a fan who has bought 20+ FT releases since Quakewave)

 

I'm quietly wondering if FT has run out of manufacturing capacity. FT-20 isn't small, and they are re-releasing it, along with a Guardian repaint. FT-10 is being re-released, as is Blue Soar. Their declaration of a 3P Superion ahead of Devy is bold with so much else in the pipe.

If there ever was a reason to pre-order a desired FT release in the coming years, this delay in production of new models should prompt us all to pull the trigger if we really want one.

 

Only really interested in Blitzwing at this point. Revealing way too early is rapidly killing my interest in projects as time goes on.

 

Same here. I want that FT Blitzing and their Trailbreaker. Apache is "meh" in my book. XTB's looks better to me, too.

 

Not me, as long as I know FT or Takara will be releasing... it reduces my urge for placeholders to zero!

Same here. I'm not a little kid and this isn't Christmas. I don't need to be surprised, I need to be satisfied. One of the keys to success in life is delayed gratification. I waited over 30 years, I can wait a little longer.

 

I think they have the manufacturing capacity. Maybe they will through FT-30A in sometime around June 2018, who knows, but their numbering order is not their release order so anything can happen. As for me I want fans toys Superion NOW!

 

Is it clear what the release order will be over the next 4-5 months?

January - FT20G(?)
February - Sovereign (reissue)

After that, i'm unclear.

Saw some talk of Berserk being out after Rouge but she's not due til Early Summer(?)

Then Hydra appears to be in Limbo too.
