I was going to get their Hotrod and Jetfire and call it finish, and all these new release looks like I will be passing them too, it has been fun waiting but I gave up. Now if Carry gets on black Friday sale.

12 releases (some of them Whales) in 11 months?

About as likely as my election as next Dalai Lama.

I am a little disturbed by just how much new product FansToys is pushing out there. In the meantime, sure we have a lot of cool toys to look forward to, but all the new reveals they've thrown out there are going to really take the wind out of the sails of other 3P companies. Why would anyone bother with another company's product when we can expect FT to come around with something arguably better a short while down the line? The 3P scene is thriving right now precisely because of all of the competition and FT starts picking off its rivals one by one, pretty soon we'll see quality dip and creativity go out the window in favor of just more of the same old same old. This isn't a knock on their company ethics or something, it's just sort of an inevitable result.

    Thanks for this thread!

I'm almost certainly down for Grinder, Cesium (counting him as FT), Outrider, and Berserk (need to see more).

I'm on the fence about Omega Supreme, Skyfire, and Seaspray due to cost and less attachment to the characters.

    High hopes for Devaststor though.

Their FT-11 Spotter was my first Fans Toys product. It's okay. I don't see how it's any better than any other top-tier 3P product though. The packaging is slightly more robust but the actual figure seems about on par. The engineering seemed fairly mundane. I would be open to owning other Fans Toys products in the future but I'd want to see video reviews first.

I don't own Spotter because he seems like one of FT's weakest offerings, along with Perceptor.

Why? Not everyone likes their aesthetic.

If spotter was your first, then I feel sorry for you. It's the only one I've skipped. Their other figures (minus tesla) are amazing, and when you consistently put out figures that are top-notch, a lot of folks will wait to see what you are going to offer. MT and FT are my go-tos but there is little doubt which one evokes the characters more for me. I just usually like to play with the MTs. The only exception to that are MTs headmasters. They are phenomenal.

What ever happened to their Hot Rod? That's like the only 3rd party figure I've ever been interested in.

I sense that because of this, some people here are viewing fanstoys as kind of a bully. One of the appeals of 3rd party companies, as least to me, is that they are kind of the underdog in this game. They are much much smaller than Takara/Hasbro. And everyone loves to root for the underdog.

When ft released Quakewave way back when, we treated ft like a hero. Iron dibots... like a savior.

Now, whenever a new ft figure is revealed, we get a handful of disapproval over seeing repeat characters. This is only going to happen more and more frequently, since the amount of cool popular characters with no mp iterations is becoming less and less.

$1149 for all the guys I want. I've already bought Grinder so he doesn't count. Jesus. And that ignores Takara Megatron, upcoming SH Figuarts, some new Lego sets, Black Series and any other 3P I'm forgetting. Jesus. Looks like I need to sell a kidney.

First of all, I am not related to gcitoys.com

They have Sovereign for 135 and they have Grinder for 175.
Sure you have to fork out the money up front, but that's 45 dollars savings across 2 figures that you can put into another figure.

There have only really been wispers and rumors about his status. It seems like he is still in the works but not much else seems to be known.
