Because sometimes shit happens. After LBP was blacklisted by FT, all their POs were cancelled, but then it was not possible to order some of the cancelled ones because other stores had already made the cut.
Due to the POs in China being very cheap, it's safer to PO in at least two stores.

Normally they don't, but things do not always work as intended...that's the reason we need to do risk management  

 

LBP getting blacklisted was likely their own fault. It was a one-off case.

A bigger problem was when FansToys told sellers that their quota was reduced and if they oversold, oops.

It may seem fine to forfeit preorders, but Chinese sellers have long memories. If you are a 'flight risk', they may not take your orders anymore.

Well cancelling must be pretty common because now it’s being baked into things like the OmegaLock Membership (can’t have it if you’ve cancelled too many times etc) and other priority policies.

I think it’s more common in the USA though from what I read, but most retailers probably feel the pain.

TBH I used to like it when I could do full price preorders and sit back and relax, but those days are gone…

I don't believe it's necessarily Baba's fault, or any of the usual chinese retailers. I thought it was common knowledge that FT was giving overseas retailers priority over their domestic customers. I could be wrong, but the trend of overseas sellers always shipping weeks late seems to confirm this, to me at least.

 

Needs some chromed diecast buckles on the shoes or just inexplicably chrome the entire shoe.
