I’m committed to my 3 POs. I figure that with minibots in the run up to Scourge I won’t be spending so much so will have plenty of time to stash money aside if I skrimp elsewhere… I’m guessing around $150-160 at bbb and ShowZ

Honestly beginning to think Fanstoys isn't too keen on reissues anymore as most of the recent reissues (Sovereign, Quietus) have been shelfwarming in most shops.
This whole thing with Scourge seems to me they're looking to reduce production to ensure their products sell. Perhaps the reason we haven't heard much of the Lupus reissue is it's been scrapped altogether.

    Agreed.

I got a preorder in with BBB when they posted it on their site. But despite all the good news for whats coming out this year, things have gone quiet on the Lupus reissue.

Keep in mind that all of these reissues happened due to external factors, mainly KOs. Unfortunately they released much later for the KOs and prices barely better then their old MSRP, especially at NA sellers.
Sovereign is different as it was in direct response to XTB's Abaddon, hoping to choke it out before it even releases.

I don't think any announced figure will be canceled, however they'll rethink what figures to reissue, and when they do it.

It'll be a whole cauldron of reasons.

What I find interesting about this news is that Sovereign and Quietus have had several reissues themselves so there is a lot of FT16 and FT29 out there. With a limited release on Inquisitor, will that be enough for those who have 16 and 29 who want to complete the trio? Or will they release further versions later down the line? Does present a lot of questions. Either way, Im pretty excited. Also, would this be the fastest turn over FT have ever done from render to release?

I would have to look back to see render to release. Reveal to release the fastest was Lupus or Roadking, ~5-6 months, but both of those were never shown as renders being revealed in full color already. I don't believe we ever saw a prototype for Lupus, and only saw a Roadking prototype after release in the background of some other figure's pic, Acoustic Wave maybe.

They know Lupus won't shelfwarm unless they really overproduce it. It's a (Headmasters Decepticon) set completer for many. Lots of people in the game today weren't collecting when Lupus was released. Others sold theirs when it looked like FT wasn't going to continue the set. Rather than reissue Thomas again or other more recent releases, Lupus would be a safer option to sell well.

Lupus is listed above £400 on eBay right now with US sellers asking the most extreme prices. I guess hoping to cash on the bluff before the river makes it out.

Assuming Inquisitor releases around Nov/Dec, both Parkour (July '21 to March '23 = 20 months) and Aussie (Oct '21 to Aug '22 = 10 months) will have been quicker from render to release. Compared to Inquisitor (Oct '21 to Nov '23 = 25 months).

*EDIT - Also, as long as Warthog releases before Inquisitor, it'll be faster as well, as their renders were revealed at the same TFCon.

So Aussie is the quickest turn over. Nice. Thanks for the info. Scourge for some reason just feels faster somehow… maybe it’s my anticipation level for it?

Good thing you weren't waiting for the original silhouette tease with Sovereign then, that predates Berserk's announcement.

Np! I'm with you there, Scourge is my most highly desired figure left for FT to make (not including 2.0's), so my anticipation level is *extreme*.

haha yeah I don’t tend to put stock into the silhouettes.

I went through a stage collecting G1 HMs and TMs from The Re:birth and Scourge was the last one I managed to get a hold of. I’ve since sold them all off the help fund my MP collecting. In a round about way I actually sold that G1 TM Scourge for about the same as what I’ll be paying for this one from FT.

I orginally had it listed for £279 but didn't sell so lowered it when I relisted it and put it up for bidding starting price of £199 , honestly didn't expext anyone to bid and was prepared to list it even lower the next time

I think we’ve seen before that people have a tendency to preorder from more than one retailer and with a figure with a high propensity for multiples it makes sense that they try to control this with a more rigid system.

We have also seen figures like Stomp and Soar be reissued and really slump, so FT may also be rethinking their strategy on this.

Also, looking at OmegaLock, I’ve never seen so many FT products in stock before!

There’s new releases along side reissues so maybe caution is being more important now.

i find this preordering multiple places a bit odd. The only time i did it was tfsource in 2021 i think when everything was crazy, but now i know that theyll release more closer to release so if i miss it at showz/BBB, i wait till closer. Unless of course you want both, more power to you i wish i had room for that.

But would people order multiple from 2 chinese stores for example? Unless by mistake? They all get their bots same time. At least for fanstoys.
