I'm sure they have one in the works but that's a messed up screen grab from the movie. I don't think they have one coming anytime in the next few years and would file this alongside their Scourge tease from several years ago.

I think it’s a huge stretch to connect using an animation image of Prime to compliment Perceptor that it means they are making a Prime.

Maybe if they silhouetted Prime, but nothing about this image seems to be a Prime hint.

 

i would rather they had a go at megatron first before prime , i love mp36 but there's bit's of it i have never liked ! looks great from the front but then you get to the top of the torso and it's a panel mess and the gun barrel is too far over to the right ( same can be said for prime 3.0 with the panels )

 

Are you refering to his canon being on the outside of his arm, instead of looking janky next to his torso. I know it's accurate, but that doesn't negate how odd it appears.

yes its always been to the right but more nearer the head not behind the right arms shoulder like mp36 has it you have to move the panel out to have it where it should be which puts it an angle

 

Hmmm MP-44 and the upcoming KO are enough for me... I don't think FT Prime will be any better than the options we have now... but who knows... If it has double rear wheels like their Motormaster I migth give it a chance.

 

Say what you will, but I don’t believe they’re gonna make an optimus, besides given the nature of their recent releases having the most complex and troublesome transformations compared to MP-44, I don’t think it would be much different anyways.

On the occasion that they do, you have permission to quote this message and something like - “I told you so”.

But I will say this, It seriously would be nice if he had a more faithful representation of his FL-86 Truck mode like mp-10 and still could transform into a toon accurate prime in some way, and a smoother back would be sweet too. I have a feeling that would be their way of going about making one just as if they’ve done to other season 1-2 characters.

 

As much as i love mp36, i'd like to see their take on Megatron first.

 

What if Fans Toys Optimus was as clean as TE-01, had the posability of MP-44, and had a G1 toy alt mode with opening doors and seats ?

 

I believe that pic was just to put the sad Tesla face into context for why they included it.

 

That's a feat only Unique Toys can do!  

 

I'm looking forward to it. I'm pretty sure it is in the works, hence the question mark over the face. The good news is it will most likely have fully articulated fingers, no unsightly backpack, be much higher in quality, and won't cost $300-$400+.

If XTB can do Ultra Magnus (which they are), FT can do Optimus Prime.
