Yikes those feet look terrible. Surprised that a several year old mold from DX9 beat them out lol. Especially when it’s going to be a $100+ price difference.

 

Why is the middle part of the plane mode so thin?

 

Is this really a minibot, alt mode is over 10 inches long

 

I'm really curious to see how this transforms. Supposedly Minibot size to a fairly large jet mode. Also it is obvious the head is not the front of the plane and I can't see the nose or cockpit in the mess on his back.

I absolutely agree the feet don't look good, maybe color will help?

 

Alt mode does look nice, bit the bot doesn't wow me enough on initial impressions to want to swap the DX9.

Yeah as others have said, DX9 simply looks better than those renders. The feet are awful, maybe the gimmick here is the he's a minibot that turns into a fairly large plane? Either way bit of an odd choice for a character who I think has already been nailed.

 

These are early prototype computer generated images. Even dalianjj has said in other threads that the final versions of their products will look different/better which they typically do.

I think the DX9 is one of their best releases. But I love me some Powerglide so there may be a spot for this

 

They went ridiculously accurate on the A10 mode holy shit.

 

Then why show them in the same way as their finished prototypes? Sounds more like an excuse.

 

Because that's what companies do to advertise, from Takara, to Zeta and all the others.

 

I must be the only one who like the feet on this. Something about it I just like than the flat feet on DX9. But I also don't think these feet would looks good on DX9 either. Not entirely sure if I'll buy this yet. But it's kinda tempting for me

 

Show me a Takara MP in the last decade that has officially shown off an unfinished prototype that significantly changed before release. I’ll wait.

I’m talking about how FT reveals things, not zeta. FT reveals things that they don’t change the design of, which means this is it. So don’t make up excuses for them that it’s unfinished. Unless they put it on hold and rework it, consider this the figure we are getting.

 

I can see somebody didn't get their hug and "boop" on their nose this morning.

 

What's weird is that the feet is pretty much always what Fanstoys nails the best, making them clean and toon shaped, and it was what I was expecting a FT Powerglide to have over DX9's. But these are just so...messy compared to DX9's and the cartoon's.

Also every time I look at FT Powerglide's plane mode it just looks thinner and thinner to me, like someone squashed the image. Is that what the real version of the plane actually looks like?

So, my opinion, cause I know you all asked.. is I don’t have as much of an issue with the feet as I do with the wings being so tall in robot mode. It’s kind of weird with how animation accurate FT has been for them to do this. Regardless, I don’t have a DX9 so I’ll end up getting this and like an adult, I’ll just put my issues with the wings aside and love it for what it is, not what it could have been.
