What kind of pliers do you use?

Since I already fixed it, I do not. If the arms are incredibly hard to move, do this fix. It’s a piece of cake.

I used needle nose because I had them on hand. You don’t have to compress too much.

Just performed the Spring Squeeze mod.
Great recommendation. It's like this is how the arms should ratchet out of the box.
    Perfect.

Making sure I'm not stupid. Just unscrew the shoulder use pliers to condense the spring, then re-screw in?

Yep, the screw in the armpit, not on the actual shoulder.

Did you have to undo the shoulder to get to the screw the goes to the body?

No, just lift his arm out and the screw is in his armpit.

I might make a video on this if it works for me!

Ok I took a few pics just to show how easy it is.
Unscrew the screw under the armpit. Take out the spring.
Compress the spring to about the same length at the screw.
Pop the spring back in the armpit and screw it back in place.
    Done.

Dang, every time I catch back up with this thread I get more and more sad. Technical problems, things needing to be fixed or replaced, and my own ever-diminishing joy over it. I really do think this figure will end up being widely regarded as one of Fans Toys’ worst offerings when we look back at this time period in the (not too distant) future. Sure there will always be people that love it, but overall I just don’t think it will be remembered too fondly.

Exactly. After reading this thread earlier today I fixed the shoulders on both of my copies in like five minutes altogether. I didn’t even use pliers, just used my fingers.

At $140 USD, we shouldn't have to fix a damn thing.

Yea I agree, and I’m not a huge supporter of Ft but in terms of simplicity to address the shoulder issue…it’s cake. Now the pins falling out is entirely different and would piss me off pretty good.

just did it myself. night and day vs. how over tight it was before. i agree it should not need to be fixed, but nothing is perfect and it was a simple fix.
