Well, I’m hoping I won’t encounter the same problem. I was looking at some 1/2mm machine screws online. They come with a flat head and a small nut. Should mine suffer this fate I may give a more permanent fix a try. Maybe a thin enough nail and bend the end flush to the diecast piece so it can’t fall out.

There is a video posted a couple times that shows in pretty good detail how to avoid the problems with those pins, at least when it comes to transformation(ive see some that supposedly just fell out). The main thing is when u get to the part where u have to spread the front end and swing it down make sure you have it spread all the way and move both sides at the same time. Even tho the pins do feel loosey goosey on mine they arent coming out without some kind of undue force.

Mine came last night from BBB and I just now opened him and performed the shoulder surgery.

Super easy - barely an inconvenience.

But he does have scratches on the roof, straight out of the box.

    Rough, dude!!

I like how Fans Toys Jazz turned into Fans Toys Jazz: It's Myriad Problems and How to Fix Them.

The community comes to the rescue!!

Not really looking forward to receiving mine tomorrow to be honest. I'm not that handy and my only tool is a spudger. But, maybe this is a learning experience. Dad would be proud after denouncing action figures for so long.

I've now transformed my Jive in both directions once, and I feel like the transformation isn't exactly bad, but it has some bits that feel unnecessarily frustrating to me. In particular:
    1) I think the legs below the knees are just way too crammed; there are too many moving pieces jammed up in a small space, and little room to move them all around. It's possible, I just don't find it enjoyable. It just constantly feels like every moving piece gets in the way of at least one other moving piece, so any time you want to reposition a part, you first need to reposition several other parts (and also the part you originally wanted to reposition is getting in the way of one of the things that in turn is getting in its way, enjoy).
    2) I think some pieces have too many fasteners on too many edges in a way that is overkill for stability, and makes things really hard to unfasten. Like, you'll have two edges at a right angle with each other, and then both edges will have tabs that you need to tab/untab all at the same time. Golden Zhen's transformation video helped a lot here, as he suggested a few spots where you want to sort of twist a panel as you untab it, or apply pressure along one edge first, etc, but I feel like there was no reason to design it this way in the first place.

Also, I transformed back and forth once, and the ball-peg on one of the legs holding the outside of the lower leg in place has already lost like 1/3 of the paint. Who in the world thought this was sensible design? I am perpetually baffled how Fans "We Provide 90% Paint Coverage" Toys keep making these designs that are hampered by paint or that damage paint.

Oh, and needless to say the tab on the inside of one of the knees is too big.

Looks incredible in both modes, but disappointing in the mechanical design.

I sadly find myself thinking this figure gets uglier every time I look at it. It makes me sad, considering how beautiful I thought it was when I unboxed it.

I reckon this is one of the hardest to fix. I’ve done quite a bit of surgery on various bots when they broke, but getting that damn pin in is beyond me

yeah dont stress. I still think its fantastic. If anything having it go into two makes the transformation easier hah. Im someone who doesnt mind tricky transformations too.

It’s hard to comprehend how something that falls out so easily can then be so difficult to get back in
