For those who ordered off of bbb, I just found my bombusbee email regarding Jive in my spam folder. They go by [email protected] if you're just looking to pay the remaining balance (and the email I got was sent on December 9, but I hadn't bothered to check until now). I wasn't sure at first but you can verify that it's them when you go on the website and hover your mouse over the "email" icon (when communicating with customer service) on the bottom right (unless you already knew this info, then ignore - just in case you're as confused as I was) - and it says "[email protected]". Now it's just the waiting game I think haha... unless they already discounted my order since they claim to only hold the order for 14 days, then paypal should take care of that. Hope this helps!

Came in from BBB as well this morning. Transformed without issue, no defective or overtight parts (so far). Transformation is fine, more fiddly than FT's better figures lately, but not awful. Done fairly quick, seems to be a fair amount of "trust me bro just apply force it won't break" to get things to fit into place proper. But, comes together in the end.


Good figure, but not as good as Phantasm. Looks the part, just won't be a "pick up and play" figure.


EDIT: Easy back to bot mode, but small addendum- did have to scrape off a teeny bit of paint on the right knee peg for it to snap back in nicely. Not bad after hearing the myriad complaints, hopefully those that need them get the fixes/replacements they need to enjoy this bad boy!

 

Yeah I have pretty much decided not to even open mine and when it arrives in going to either ebay it or sell/trade on the boards. I don't mind a complex transformation but if it's a chore and parts are liable too breakage it becomes a box sitter for me.

 

Mine arrived today. He certainly looks good, but very stiff and a bit scary. To be honest there are elements I actually prefer on Downbeat (the more Diaclone style head for one), so he won't be going anywhere. As always the paint on the FT version is lovely, but I'd really like some Toyhax labels to add some proper Martini branding. The ones for Downbeat were superb, sadly the chest is more complex on Jive so I doubt we'll get the same stripes that (I think) look so damn good on the Maketoys effort.

 

Sounds like everyone who’s receiving from BBB is in the UK (or at least not US). Has anyone got their shipping notification or delivered to the states yet?

Lucky! They contacted me back this week and said that they only had very few on their first batch so I'm still waiting.

 

Stateside here. I placed my order for it with Parkour and Recorder. I contacted BBB early December about it when everyone else was getting theirs about when they may be expecting it. By mid December they said they might be expecting them by the end of the month and that they could arrange shipping when it came in, I told them to go for it. Got shipping notification email January 4th. It's stateside already and the ball started rolling on the 26th.

So long story short: contact them about the status especially if you order with other items to be sure that they don't consolidate an order (just in case), and it may even be in process already.

 

Mine arrived yesterday from ShowZ. Need some good ol woodford Bourbon to get transforming this thing.

 

Bombusbee told me today that they only received 20% of what they ordered initially and that they've been "shipping by list" which I presume to mean order paid. They said rest could arrive any time...

 

You guys that mix drinking with transforming get my respect, there’s no way I’d ever be able to do that. I’m way too sloppy a drinker to pull that off.
