Interesting. Mine was £110 with omegalock, minus 2% membership discount (and 98 pence in points on the balance). I'm combining postage with Stack, so even if I split that 50%, my grand total cost is more or less £111. So not a huge difference overall this time.

 

exchange rate is still a bit shite which don't help , still over 0.80 to the $ and more with paypal

 

$105 + $10.30 from BBB, $100.35 after coupons/points. So £93.96 before, £81.78 afterward.

I pay in USD and let my bank do the currency conversion, as they charge me way less than BBB's onsite or Paypal's conversion rates.

 

+1 on using card rates. Even better if you aren't charged a foreign currency transaction fee too!

 

I have 3 junkions and again they look great. XTB has great artistic designs, it is the design, materials and quality that lacks. FT has their problems but their design is far above. I mean ratchets, how parts are connected, joints not the look of figure. MMC is another good company for QC of their figs. Even Junkions are not as good as those other 2 companies. Mine went out missing several fingers and the joints in fingers are very delicate even for an adult toy.

again XTB is fine most the time for looks.

 

I've always let my bank do currency conversion since I started importing, even with fees they were often a lot cheaper, but yeah my current card doesn't seem to charge fees. Always a win, got to cut excess cost where you can.

I just checked what they wanted in GBP myself and it was £109.72, ridiculous! All these places devaluing the pound even further than it already is.

You can use PayPal, but choose to use the card attached to your account. You have to separately tell it to use the card providers rate

^Yeah what Dave said. Paypal have made it more of a chore to do than it used to be, they make a tidy sum off the conversion they offer. You'll need to select the card, then click the blue text for currency options underneath to switch to USD. Next time I need to pay something off I'll take a few screenies.

 

I have it on preorder, Jive looks very toon accurate, but can’t say the latest pictures get me very excited for this for some reason.
It looks a bit bland, hope it is better in hand and that it is fully painted and looks more premium in hand.
Felt the same way with Outtrigger and when i got it in hand i had much more of the wow factor, very nice build quality, so probably all will be well.

Wow. That is a major upgrade. Colours, proportions. Everything.

Why do you think Takara Jazz would have a backpack? There's absolutely no reason for that to happen. It'll have the car roof hanging down, just like all the other MP Jazz figures.

If anything the legs will be complicated to slim them down by using fake parts.

Although, it doesn’t hurt to put it twice to the thread, because this figure is pretty nice.

Significant upgrade compare to Downbeat.

 

Hoping FT produce a toy/real-world deco version. Until then my Transform & Rollout Jazz doesn't need to worry.



... Damn though, way to make TR look rubbish by completely mistransforming his lower legs, door wings and the windscreen.  

 

this was my exact feeling. Had a little concern that because Downbeat is so good I would see a comparison and be underwhelmed but it is the exact opposite. I felt like Jive just looked more Jazz to me and seeing them next to one another it is night and day.
