Me too! Not going to collect legends but the MS Menasor is a great desk bot while my Masterpiece scale bots sit on the shelf most of the time. I hope FT can keep the skeleton as clean, simple, and stable as MS did. Regarding the delay, I still think it has to do with shipping and materials costs due to the pandemic. FT knows if they list this at $600+ they’ll open the door for DX9 and XTB and lose customers not just for Menasor but any other combiner they do in the future. I think FT commands a premium price over others but not that much.

 

The allure of deskbot scale combiners is so nice. I can't wait to have Mini-sor and Mini-stator at my desk.

 

They should just make a trailer for every combiner's combiner parts, and then an attachment for Thomas to pull them all in train mode.

 

TBH maybe it's engineering and maybe it's the outlay? I guess Terminus Giganticus would have been a pretty significant outlay in terms of the amount of raw material required to get the toy produced so perhaps all these releases / preorders are all about getting some bank ready for a big investment in the combiners?

Could be that the trailer is really, really hard to turn into a 22" tall frame without getting ridiculously long like some stretched out load of guff...?

Oh certainly, each trailer should come with extra tracks so you can eventually put together a whole trainset.

 

There’s a FT Raiden aspect to all of this train talk that is interesting. What if the combiner parts that changed into train cars were actually also Raiden members? And then his combiner parts were the second trailer for Menasor? META!!

 

I see you got the skeletons for Menasor, Superion, and Defensor there.

 

I don't know, having just one gestalt inside of him was a lot to pack in, having the bones of several other gestalts ride his caboose might be too much.

FT sure knows how to string people along. Had they released the trailer this year, people might balk at paying 400 or whatever. Next year though, most of us would be like people wandering in the desert without water.

 

It's been 2 months since I paid the shipping of parts until today it hasn't arrived.
I've sent several unanswered emails.

As to parts from fanstoys, it can take up to 3 months as they use the cheapest shipping there is.
