Holy hell, good work, Columbo, excellent find. Damn, this is some Takara like level engineering. This figure has gotten me really excited for Menasor as well. Can't wait!

Man, that would be amazing if Menasor had double jointed elbows.

The idea of Menasor having a double jointed elbow is interesting, but in practice it probably just means paint rubbing if not done properly.

 

Just got mine in yesterday. I was transforming it into alt mode and flipped out those filler pieces, not knowing what they were for, and couldn't close the alt mode together so i flipped them back.

Is there a noticeable difference with having them out in bot mode? I didnt transform him back just parked him next to astro train.

 

It makes the side profile just a tiny bit more proportionate in my opinion. Nothing major but I like the extra effort that went into the design there.

Yeah mines got a die cast dot on both his feet from where the paint chipped.

 

Fixed his finger. Literally a 30 second fix. I used this sim card tool lol

 

some good thinking there. I’d never noticed the filler pieces on the back of the hips.

regarding the double elbow though I would say that this won’t be available for Maruader



For it to rotate there the arm frame would have to articulate also and there doesn’t appear to be any joint there.

A swivel is still possible though as the back of the pelvis / hips has some nice holes for the frame to slot into.

 

Yeah i expect the combiner only has single elbows. The main supporting joint will be in the skeleton and the extra joints/linkages in the arm bots are just to allow them to follow the motion of the elbow without needing to split in two a la XTB. Still pretty cool.

They forgot to spin the wheel up.
The wheels has dents in it.
In the picture i spinned the left one up and saw it.
Pulled the right one a bit out and also damage.
It was already strange that he won't stand, because the wheels are to low.
Hope FT can send me 2 new rubber wheels.
I don't like the idea tin my head that my FT figure has damage on them.
These things are gems. And i treat them as gems.

 

You make some good points here. Myself, I'm willing to purchase other molds of figures I like if I think they are interesting. I feel like many of the FT figs are the only ones for me though. Their Cyclonus and Galvatron are great. I also love their Jetfire. I like the look of spinger but he is not fun to transform. I also love the look but hate transformations of their Arcee, and Blurr. I sometimes fell like fanstory are more like Statues that "can" transform...at your own risk.

I still want to finish my collection but and am looking forward to FT Jazz, Mirage and Huffer. I hope they do more mini bots.

I wish there were 3rd party transformers Animated. I would buy all those. At one time there was a Transformers Animated Devistator being created that fell through.

 

Yeah, I’ve looked at that picture for so long trying to see a way that the double joint could still be accessible. That’s why I said I was skeptical in my first post but still a little hopeful. Best case scenario is that the bicep piece slides down somehow but I’m doubting it unfortunately. Here’s to hoping though!
