Yeah, it was an unpleasant surprise. I'll have to wait and see if and what kind of parts they'd be willing to replace. It's going to involve some robo-surgery either way unfortunately.

This is because the thighs will be folded inside the rear of the car and there needs to a separate facility that Smokey does not have because the rear of the has to flip 180 degrees to be his lower legs, where Smokey does not.

I'm guessing this piece has something to do with locking the joint into place inside his chest:

It looks like the pin was misfired, so it didn't go in straight.

If your retailer can't/won't help send FT an email. Their support isn't always the fastest, but they'll take care of you.
