Those colors were there at PO time, but GOOD EYE on the lack of translucent parts. I really thought they were going to include it with every Stunticon!

 

I think the translucent plastics are not gonna be present in the last two imo. Hoping to see it on Menasor tho.

 

This is something I ve noticed with the reissues. I have 2 RKs from the original run and 2 reissues. The reissues arm sockets do not fit as flush all the way in, like the original run. I haven’t investigated enough to see why though.

 

I pulled out the butterfly joints on both sides as needed for the transformation and pushed them back in. Left side without
any problems but the right side always stops at a certain point and i tried every angle.

After reading through this thread i found a post where someone wrote about a piece of flash that prevents closing the joint.
On the left side of my RK these flashes aren't as big as they are on the right. I'm sure now that this flash on the right is
the problem and only cutting it off resolves it. Can someone suggest a good way and proper tools? I don't know jack about this stuff...

I would file it down with a nail or small metal file or try a razor blade.

DX9 is cheaper and more fun to mess with. FT looks and feels better and they're not difficult to transform. Both are good (and I'm getting both), but if I had to go with just one it'd be FT.

 

This is extremely nitpicky, but: The big and exposed gears in DX9 Menasor's elbows kind of turn me off of it. I bet they add a lot of stability to the arms, and I'm sure others will like the look, but I personally am not a fan. Which is great! I'm already spending so much money on all these toys that I'm eager to latch onto any excuse I can find to skip one.

That being said, I think the DX9 set has some neat transformation elements.

Interesting.....for me the Stunticons, the limbs anyway, their height in robot mode was always up for debate about whether they should be carbot height, their height relative to Motormaster and/or Megatron, it's all up for debate. But one thing in which there was less wiggle room for was their alt-modes, particularly the limbs. And this is where DX-9's fail spectacularly. Some of the cars the Stunticons are, Breakdown for instance are identical in make to the likes of Sideswipe, they can't and shouldn't be ridiculously out of scale the way DX-9's were to autobot cars of similar make. It was so pathetic and quite embarrassing it dismissed them from the race at first glance of the day and night difference in alt mode scales. It was like putting G1 Chromedome next to a season 1 carbot like Jazz or prowl. No matter how much cheaper they were or fun to transform, hell, even if they were more screen accurate.....that buffoonish discrepancy in scale shifted them into the doldrums of irrelevancy!

And secondly, Roadking, for me in this day and age after what FT did with this figure it is a travesty and in fact it should me made illegal for anyone to make and call a figure an MP Motormaster if it doesn't incorporate his trailer into his transformation! End of!!! The fact that both DX-9 and XTB don't achieve this feat and still fail to make their Motormasters more screen accurate and scale better is comical. I mean for God sakes FT's has trailer on his back and still topples the others in screen accuracy in scale, think about it.

For me, FT's option are a no brainer, there is simply no contest, hell, even if FT's weren't around I still won't be interested in the other options they look pretty bad, and oh XTB's Snow white and seven dwarves syndrome is really an eyesore as well! MEH!
