Trust me it wasn't fun doing a review on him
Menasor is shaping up nicely, missing his other leg tho.
Roadking arrived today and out of the box i noticed that his left "butterfly" joint wasn't as flush as his right one. Applying pressure didn't help much either
(because i'm a weakling). Any help on this matter, please. Are there known issues?
Happened to me too, try taking the whole butterfly out then extending the diecast part then putting it all back in, it might loosen it up.
The butterfly is there for transformation so there is no issues with it, it's just a little tight at first.
Thanks for the input, appreciate it! Since i mostly don't transform my bots (yes, blasphemy) i'm very gingerly with my figures.
Gonna have to watch a video first.
But on closer inspection i might have found the possible culprit. There seems to be some kind of residual plastic which apparently
hinders the butterfly section getting pushed into it's foreseen space.
Is it surgery time?
Try pushing the black piece away from that edge and in
No fancy lighting, but love how they look together!!
So glad to finally have in-hand
@crdavismusic Welp, you were right.
My heart said yes, but my wallet and my psyche said no, haha. For the better, also seems right since I just got Beachcomber PO'd by a stroke of pure luck that Wildrider had to be the more expensive sacrifice.
Now i'm officially in the "Where's the reissues for the first 3?" party.
That happens. You made a good choice. Someday down the road when they're at full production capacity and reissue him, you'll have your shot (I'd say next year).
Flip side for me; I'm passing on Beachcomber. Looking forward to your photos!
Legit I actually might make him the first figure I actually take outdoor photos with. Gotta break the mold and drop the fear of yellowing due to the sun somehow, haha. Since everything is still looking pristine on the shelves, haha.
Besides, i'm lined up for a good amount of shit in August, so yeah.
To name a few, GC Prime, FT Brawn, the other 2 MMC Combaticons and Springer, Revoltech Deku, Figuarts Ginyu and a shitton of Tamashii Act 4s.
Good move, me.
Oh. So did Smokey always have those two colors of Yellow when they put up the preorders? Also, is it confirmed that he does not have a translucent plastic piece anywhere?
Those colors were there at PO time, but GOOD EYE on the lack of translucent parts. I really thought they were going to include it with every Stunticon!
I think the translucent plastics are not gonna be present in the last two imo. Hoping to see it on Menasor tho.
This is something I ve noticed with the reissues. I have 2 RKs from the original run and 2 reissues. The reissues arm sockets do not fit as flush all the way in, like the original run. I haven’t investigated enough to see why though.
I pulled out the butterfly joints on both sides as needed for the transformation and pushed them back in. Left side without
any problems but the right side always stops at a certain point and i tried every angle.

After reading through this thread i found a post where someone wrote about a piece of flash that prevents closing the joint.
On the left side of my RK these flashes aren't as big as they are on the right. I'm sure now that this flash on the right is
the problem and only cutting it off resolves it. Can someone suggest a good way and proper tools? I don't know jack about this stuff...
A nail file?
I would file it down with a nail or small metal file or try a razor blade.
Razor blade. Will leave the least marks
So.....between this or dx9.....dunno which one to pick XD
This isn't Jurassic Park you dope! We're valuable collectibles!
