Hm, I have my doubts. I think the red and blue pieces serve to lock Dragstrip middle part, but they are part of the Menasor gestalt. The red part just looks to thick to fit into Dragstrip.

Um, why is there a loose Spoiler with a missing faceplate about to sell for over $300 on eBay when it's new for $200? Are ALL the china listings bullshit?

 

What in the world. That one didn't have the extra faceplate OR a box!

Here's the last 3 sold on eBay. The one circled is one i bought earlier this month. Complete with box, in great shape. The buyer and I agreed on an offer of $160 (not the $200 shown, it was $200 obo).

This is getting nuts...

 

It is too thick. The red part is part of the arm frame but it covers his thighs which have the elbow articulation in them. The arm frame (blue bit) also has the main elbow joint. The waist could also provide the lower bicep swivel.

 

yeah i don’t know if a couple folks panicked and value stateside shipping that much, or, more likely, there’s some shill bidding involved and this will be back up for sale in less than a week.

 

I would prefer not to own it/waiting on a re-issue to getting ripped off. People need to stop buying at those prices.

 

A reissue is pretty likely, right? I don’t mind paying $150. $200 is fine if it doesn’t get reissued, but $300 is absurd, especially considering I just got a Quietus for $100.

So the yellow coloured stuff is all Smokey.

The light blue is the arm frame and green-ish bit is the wrap-around from the frame that covers up Smokey's thighs and pelvis.

For extra insight:


That little tab is the piece that locks into the side of his leg in robot mode to stop the knee from bending in the wrong direction. In arm mode it is "unlocked" to allow the knee to bend outwards to accomodate the elbow joint.

 

Also if Smokey's left leg doesn't detach then it would have to work a bit like this:



Either way that funky extra joint in his left knee plays a part!

Great find! I love that figure (got the T version) and I can't help picking him up a few times a week and just mess with him.

eBay listing. Had a couple minor issues that I don't even notice, and it's the go release but with the "T" box, but the figure is complete.

 

Dang, lucky. I bought him a while back but ended up selling him cause of the QC on his chest. Hoped I could pick him up again later but, well, crazy people fed the scalpers so I abandoned that idea.

 

People have got to stop feeding scalpers. And trolls. Also fois gras is questionable.

 

IMO Retailers need to also limit the PO's. I know ToyDojo put a limit of 2 for the Kup Reissue which has already SOLDOUT.

 

If Smokey doesnt split, then doesnt that mean the articulation in combined mode is hindered? Like no bicep swivel
