The only way I could afford a Fort Max level price is by paying towards it monthly ahead of time (around $100 per month). I know you are disinclined at this point but since you might be convinced for Metroplex/Trypticon I figured I'd mention the option.

 

I just don't know why I'd want to pay over a thousand for a figure I'll ultimately be dissatisfied with because of its size. Besides, it's not like all other FT production will grind to a halt for the year after that, or other companies for that matter, so I'd still have to pay for those figures, right?

I wish FT took on the '86 titans first.

My belief (no evidence) is that FT went with Fort Max first because he is the easiest to determine a size for independently. Cerebros/Fortress should match up with other MP Headmasters in size, then workout the full Fortress Maximus from there. They then have a basis to determine the size of the other Titans.

That pricing includes the newly increased shipping rates from Asia.

 

This set, the Aerialbots, Astrotrain and a Cyclonus. That's the mantra I keep repeating. Then the FT chapter will close for me. I suspect their Bruticus/Devastator prices will be phenomenal at this rate.

 

Man, I sure hope they tackle the Protectobots and Predacons before they worry about those two. The dream, of course, is Raiden, but I doubt FT will ever get that into the weeds.

 

TT is doing Raiden so doubt FT will tackle them...unless TT looks like ass.

Can someone tell me what the hell is going on? Is this 'corona' pricing or 'I'll do whatever the fuck I want and you'll buy it anyway!' Takara pricing? Because if this is the direction things are heading, apart from the Technobots and Brainstorm anything outside of what I'm going to be getting this year is going to be a very tough sell for me.

 

Now that we've got some clearer and close up photos I'm hoping we can better speculate how this guy becomes Marauder's right arm. But I agree with f0cus, its looking more like this guy doesn't pull to pieces as he converts to arm mode after all...

 

Probably a combination of both. From what I see on the links posted Dragstrip is the same price and Wildrider [unsure if it was hiked up or not from WR's original price] but they both are about 20 USD more expensive than Breakdown.

From my UK retailer, Wildrider is maybe about 5 pounds more expensive than Breakdown [no sign of Dragstrip yet].

It might be worth seeing China retail prices when they are up and compare those three, but yes, pricing is becoming a bit ridiculous regardless.

US prices do seem a bit high. Ages 3 and Up is only 165 CAD, which right now is about 120 USD.
