Was wondering if anyone was crazy enough to disassemble roadking, in particular to get his front skirts off? There's been a bit of a mishap and now there's a minor paint scratch on the right skirt piece. I don't think it's enough of an issue to warrant asking for a replacement part but in the off chance that I do decide to go for a replacement, how would I even take the piece off? Seems to go beyond the realm of simply removing a couple of screws.

I know the waist unclips at the front and opens out for menasor mode which will give you a better look at what you are dealing with, but i havent disassembled as i had no need and mine is in truck mode atm - the plastic crotch piece unclips and flips down just below the metal piece in the bladder position.

So you voluntarily disassembled a previously flawless figure and scratched it - and now you want a replacement part? Why on earth would you expect to get a replacement part for a piece that you damaged while taking the figure apart...for reasons? Am I missing something?

 

He'll have to pay for the replacement piece assuming there's any extra of it. What's wrong with asking the manufacturer if they have spare parts to sell to people that need replacement parts?

No worries and I think I was probably being unreasonable with such a small piece. Looking for a colour match would have been possible but I have next to no experience with painting so it seems like a bit of a risky option. Granted, disassembling the thing also seems like its going to be hell. Maybe this'll be the excuse I need to keep him in combined mode when the whole team is out

If you decide to do it you could try asking GetRightRobot, he completely disassembled a Roadking to repaint it as G2 Motormaster.
