Do you guys worry about the weight of the combined form? Nobody make heavier bots than FT and this dude is gonna be big. I would almost want a backup stand so he doesn’t smash a lot of paint incase of tipping.

 

i always take note of which figures fanstoys uses with its figures in promo stuff.

its going to have to weigh 15 lbs. i cant wait.... die cast feet and thighs fanstoys ftw

that image of combined mode is killing me. spoiler and road king are so amazing and they contribute close to 3% on the front view of marauders combined mode appearance

 

Heck yeah! Spoiler is heavy. Lots of die cast metal. RK is heavy... and we have 3 more bots to go! I am 99.99999% certain the forth coming endo-skeleton this team attaches to has to be all/mostly diecast metal as well... with lots of solid ratchet joints.

 

I am hoping those ankle and hip ratchets will hold up under all that weight over time.

 

Maybe the arm bots will be lighter than the legs? Yeah, if the whole Skeleton is sturdy with good feet and tight joints it’ll work

 

That would be a good idea.  

As long as the other 3 bots are of the same build quality, design, and engineering of these first two... we are all in for a treat.  
FT is setting the bar with this set and the Aerialbots for all the other companies.

 

I not worried. Fans toys TG is 7.5KG and a part-former and he is stable. There is around 2.5kg in TG's upper body alone and Roadking comes in at 1.3Kg so I dare say the combined mode will still be lighter than TG.

I watch his vids almost daily. Just seems like a fun dude.

I can never quite get my head around the claims of his bias. He has constantly explained that FT just cator to the kind of fan he is: he's all about the display. He loves that premium illusion (heavy toys) and paint. He's all about the presentation, which 9 times out of 10, Fanstoys excel at, hence why they're his favourite.

He says in so many vids that its all about opinions and if you like what you got, you win.

I dont always agree with him but I find his views interesting and often worth the discussion.

 

Yup. I am tremendously terrified of what the stability and posability of this set is going to be like once fully merged. It's going to be crazy heavy so if the ratchets in the legs aren't tremendously strong he's going to be very wobbly and a huge pain to pose. I hope FT sorts all that out good n proper.

 

I'm getting dx9 and xtb as well as fanstoys. If I was only in for the Fanstoys I'd be pretty concerned about the weight. These will be forever bot mode for me. I may combine him if I ever need to defend myself from a home intruder though.

 

FT going partsforming combining means we can finally get a white Bruticus when FT makes it.
Chest and upper legs are a sepperate piece anyways.

As pointed out previously; this guy will be nowhere near Terminus weight so it really shouldn’t be an issue. Most of his weight will be central as well so not much to worry about.

And how many people pose a bot this size that isn’t an A stance anyway?

These are 70 inches up from the ground, so they need to be able to hold the pose as I have them fixed
