so... you speak for everybody then, eh?

Not everybody on the planet has their figures in "static" "only-from-the-front" poses.

I prefer nice dynamic action poses myself.

C'mon guys, this is the latest in FT tech. In addition to unlocking the mystery of mass shifting, those uncanny magicians at FT have managed to create a figure that disappears when you look at it from the side giving that 2D effect in a 3D world. I kid, It doesnt bother me one bit.

Come on guys, I get that lots of us like Fans Toys... hell, I do too. But it's just ridiculous watching the justifications for what is clearly a weird-looking toy. (In addition to being WAY too skinny front-to-back, he's weirdly WIDE from the front). When DX9's second Stunticon figure came out looking skinny like this pretty much everyone was like "I'm out." Now that it's FT's second Stunticon figure came out looking skinny like this, people are breaking out excuses. I'm not feeling it.

NO other FT toy looks this poorly proportioned in robot mode, and it's made all the worse in comparison to Road King who is basically perfectly proportioned. His forearm is literally the thickest part of his entire body (front to back).

Just admit it: this thing looks bad in robot mode. It looks bad. There. Was that so hard to say?

The backpack is a red herring designed to make the legit complaints about this figure's proportions seem ridiculous to FT apologists. Literally NOBODY has complained about the backpack itself. All the complaints have been about the weirdly, even freakishly, skinny body when viewed from the side. If it had a bigger backpack that wouldn't have helped; the actual body and limbs are all incredibly shallow front-to-back while also being exaggeratedly wide when viewed from the front. It would have looked WORSE if it was the same, except with a bigger backpack.

DX9 Montana looks okay from the side, it was their not-Wildrider that looked anorexic like FT's Breakdown.

Ah, so the source of this has been found. Why are you acting like people are talking about the backpack when you know they're talking about the ENTIRE BODY being thin? If the backpack was bulkier but the body was the same it would look even WORSE.

(PS I super duper respect your custom work and your G1 toon collection is amazing.)

I don't think this looks bad. It looks just ok. Not good but also not bad.

For crying out loud. It's a discussion forum. We discuss. We talk about the good and the bad. We compare thoughts and opinions.

Please don't tell someone to "move on" when they honestly express their opinion. We see enough of that in the official forums and it's reaching the point were anything that contradicts the Kool-aid drinking party-line is attacked. We really don't need that in any thread, and especially don't need it brought here into the 3P threads.

Honestly? Someone expressing a critical opinion is far more valuable to the discussion than simply saying it's great!! What do you contribute to any back and forth by just saying you love it and then trying to shut down any contrary opinion?

Let's actually discuss figures and exchange opinions. You like it? Thats great!! @FiVE1ZERO thinks it has issues? Also great. Share opinions, listen and offer advice, sympathy or constructive feedback.

Or don't, that's fine too. But telling people to move on if they disagree with you is NOT fine.

    You guys also have this?
One side has 3 holes while the other side has a hole and a groove.
    IMG_20190911_234312.jpg IMG_20190911_234329.jpg

I guess this is a wild spread problem of not tabbing together.

    Ah weapon storage.
Something that Quietus and Maverick misses.

Very thin, but don't care. A tiny bit of dynamic posing will make him look heftier.

I don't know... he seems to be just as slim as these other guys from the cartoon.

Any new TaoBao listings yet? I've been looking for several day's, and only found two active pre-order listings, and neither are accepting new orders. Actually paid deposits on Spoiler and Goose with one store and then had to cancel when seller said no pre-orders... not sure why that seller still has pre-orders listed if they don't want them. I'm assuming orders will start to appear once FT gives the go-ahead for Chinese sellers to distribute.

I'm a little unsure about this one now. I kind of felt Roadkings backpack was pretty big but at least there's an option there to remove it for display if you want. Spoiler looks very skinny through-out the torso, shoulders and around the hips and butt. It's a little off-putting at first. He's pretty good from the front but there are hints of the odd-proportions peeking through even there. Not saying I hate him, not saying I'm out, just a little hesitant.

I think I need to see him in some dynamic poses and some video reviews. That's most likely where he'll really start to shine. For now, I don't think he's that much better than DX9's and from the back and side, I think I may even prefer DX9's. But the QC issues with Montana have me worried.

You guys, the camera subtracts 10 pounds, don't let this spoil the figure for you.
