That has to be an old quote because they are currently producing 2 combiners.

 

Let me get that for you..... ahh, here it is, it's from October 2014. Nearly 10 years ago, surely plans change.

 

So 10 years ago may not be very helpful for the status of their current combiner projects. But I see two things here that may be useful.

1)Fanstoys non combiner projects seem to have precedence. (this may be why we see more progress on the rest of the G1 toy line)

2) Fanstoys opinion for G1 “perfect” combiners is a cartoon accurate version

 

you have to colour it yourself, make sure you stay inside the lines

 

Q: what about combiners?

FT: Maybe in the future. Right now we have a lot of other projects that require our attention and we think it wise to work our way up to trying to tackling something like a combiner.

Q: what do you think about this new company Zeta announcing they're doing a combiner.

FT: Then we're doing one

Q: Really? Which one?

Assuming Menasor and Superion are completed sometime in 2024-2025. Do you guys think Fanstoys will do another combiner? If so which autobot and decepticon combiners are next?

 

my guess would be bruticus and defensor is next

 

My prediction is that they will do Devy and Defensor next but I would like Bruticus over Defensor.

 

Bruticus/Defensor, followed by Abominus/Computron.

 

Lets first see them deliver on what they set out to do. Anything beyond that is for the next generation of collectors in the 22nd century

 

I think FT fast-tracking a Devastator is not outside the realm of the possible, given that XTB is starting one this year and MMC might have teased one after they're done with Defensor.

There's nothing FT loves more than bullying around other companies to aggressively compete for market share.

 

Their trickery works because I had started collecting DX9's Mensor but two bots in switched to FT's...but I guess the joke is on me because DX9's Mensor has been long completed.

 

I'd like to see Devy and Predaking. They've gone so Autobot heavy last couple years, let's restore the balance. Plus those are the two combiners most in need, I think.
