Thanks everyone for your kind words. I wouldn't have even brought it up except it seemed topical. I'm not religious but I imagine her and my grandfather are together somewhere in the cosmos. Not Cosmos the character, mind you. She made it to 91... Sometimes I think I'll be lucky to hit 50.

To keep this on actual topic, my Davis grandparents gave me some of the coolest Christmas gifts ever - the best were G2 Optimus Prime (my first "real" OP), Little Nemo the Dream Master for NES, and a No Doubt bass tab book. I spent hundreds of hours with each.

 

Dang. I still haven’t finished Little Nemo. I did at one time have the world’s sloppiest Duck Tales speed run on YouTube though. Surely a sloppier and quicker one has been uploaded by now though.

 

Grandparents are great. My Nan bought me many of my Transformers back in the 80s, and sadly my parents gave them away in the 90s. When she died about ten years ago, she left me, my brother and sister some money. They used it for "sensible" things, like doing up a kitchen or going on holiday. I decided to recreate my old childhood TF collection, and also get other TFs I remembered wanting at that time. And then I met MP-scale too.

I now have hundreds of TFs, all thanks to her. I think she would have been delighted at the ongoing joy she's enabled.

PS. I think that spending the afterlife with Cosmos would be great. He sends Cosmossy hugs to you.

Yeah, this coming of Bandit has started to feel like a joke a long time ago.

I deliberately answered @blurr95 question seriously, even though I strongly assumed it was a joke. You know, a direct answer to a direct question. And you know, you never know on this forum.

Anyway, more joke…-> But if only Fans Toys managed to turn this joke into something to be taken seriously. And that Bandit could appear in color in the near future. Although gray is color too. Let’s hope. Is word hope too strong word nowadays?

 

I can see how Fanstoys has really made a mark with the quality of their product and mostly producing the 1st generation Transformers Hasbro (Takara Tomy) has not made in their Masterpiece line. I can’t speak for all collectors but in 1984 when Transformers was first broadcast on television I was 7 years old. If you do your math that makes me 45 today. My point is the people who first appreciated transformers are getting older. Additionally, of Hasbro (Takara Tomy) 1st generation transformers Hasbro (Takara Tomy) is least likely to produce the combiners in our lifetime.

Here (with the combiners) is where I believe Fanstoys is really missing out on an opportunity.

Fanstoys in my opinion are perfectionist and put a lot of love in their product. However, because they are perfectionist I believe that is why their first two combiners are taking so long. Fanstoys doesn’t want to lose the reputation they have for producing an exceptional product. If Fanstoys doesn’t knock it out the park with these two combiners they lose all their future business being the go to for all transformers other than the combiners. My hope is Fanstoys spends whatever time they need now to work out all the issues they have run into with these combiners and their future combiner products are produced more quickly. I seriously doubt collectors will want to invest 7 years in future combiners.

 

Has there been any word on a release or even what the final product will look like? I mean, how long as it been since Dragstrip was released?
