Should I assume that they can't be combined at all with the existing figures available? Is Dead End supposed to come with additional kibble needed to complete the combination?

Yes, Dead End will come with a skeleton that is reportedly also going to transform into a second trailer for Roadking.

Honestly it's pretty clear, there are subtle ports on the bottom of Magnum and Spoiler's alt mode, and Smokey's arm mode has been well covered. Roadking will compress into a cube and slide into the back with his arms forming the shoulder pauldrons.

The shoulder pauldrons don't make a whole lot of sense aesthetically though, since, because they will be formed by the underside of Roadking's forearms, they will be two-toned.

The part we have yet to see to believe is the skeleton transforming into another trailer.

 

Hm there are some really optimistic people here. I always thought that the trailer will come with a couple of tubes of Superglue and some tapes ... you know so that they can all combine. There will also be an instruction card saying: "For best results, lean the back of the combiner against the wall".

After dealing with that XTB G2 trailer, which (at least on my copy) was a failure at every single step of the way, I would be open to these improvements.

Yea I'm probably the 100th person to say that but damn I remember when Fanstoys was awesome. I just got Jive and oh boy, it's like Badcube with better plastic.

 

That's actually some pretty high praise for badcube lol. Funny enough their transformations on the figures I got from them never had as many of those moments where the plastic had to really scrape against something to get by, or there was one this exact angle to place pieces so they can move past, so id say BC has FT beat at least for the transformation design being less clunky, even if simpler overall. BC plastic and QC is actually pretty great as well as I never saw the breakages we have with the FT releases iirc. Hate BC sculpts all you want, but as toys I felt they stood their own and then some.

 

Odds on me proposing to my gf before this guy comes out are somewhat decent

Funny, DJJ told me two weeks.

 

It’s funny because the one time I talked to DJJ directly, it was about a replacement foot, ankle, and beak for the used FT Swoop that I bought “new” from tfsource (complete with toyhax stickers and broken parts). So anyway, this DJJ says to me “it’ll take about 10 days,” and it actually took nearly six months. So even if he did say it’s coming out in the next month, I just don’t know.

it makes me sad that none of those story details are inaccurate.
