I'm getting nervous about my Agabyss order and just messaged them. Noticed that, unlike my other POs, the order description states "1 item of this product been back-ordered". My Starscream P.O. through them says "1 item of this product has been pre-ordered". I wanted to buy through them since West Allis is a lot closer to KCMO than other sellers, but that difference in verbiage between POs has me nervous about potentially getting the allocation end of the stick. Anyone else have experience with their order referencing back order instead of pre-order? Really hope this works out. These two figures were me testing the waters to see if they're decent since I'd rather pay a bit more to a shop in the Midwest when they have something for a price that's at least comparable to larger storefronts.

 

I wanna say it could be because Quietus sold out and Starscream is still available. That's the only difference between both on Agabyss that I can see.

 

I'm hoping that's all it is. I'm trying to ween myself off ShowZ exclusively and tried BBTS for a couple things to see how the big kids do stateside, and then tried Toy Dojo and Agabyss to try out some smaller stores that are closer to me. In hindsight, maybe shouldn't have decided to experiment on hard to get P.O.s. Parked Apache and Thundercracker w Toy Dojo and Quietus and Starscream with Agabyss.

 

I've not had problems with either Toy Dojo or Agabyss. Both seem fairly reliable and both have been much more prompt than BBTS. Can't recall either retailer ever being in a price/shipping/allotment scandal. I've got MP-Skywarp on PO with Toy Dojo and an MMC Decepticon Justice Division figure on PO with Agabyss right now. I've got no fear of TD coming through for me on official TT product and my only fear with Agabyss is how lousy MMC is at meeting street dates.

 

Just got my notice from Bombusbee/HT that Quietus has shipped! First Grassor ships tonight and now Quietus!  

 

So Quietus will be released sooner than Apache? Apache was announced earlier. I pre-ordered both on the same day and wish they both came on the same day

 

Was Grassor also ordered with HeatToys?

 

No Grassor was with ShowZ.

 

Honestly I did handle it in store at Ages 3 and Up and it was alright. I don’t hate it, I just thought it was unnecessary because I had already got GP’s and all the fire effects and goodies just made it definitive for me. I dig how he looks actually.

Apache po was in January and quietus po was in March but yes quietus is listed as April release and Apache for may. I wondered why they were like this myself but I also know I’d probably never get an answer. And as long as they both show up eventually I’m cool

 

I bet FT is will release Apache when the X Transbots Springer is close to release. FT has done this in the pass to take some sales from X-Transbots, when X trans is releasing a character they both have.

 

Just got my notice from TCP that their stock is incoming!

My wallet's gonna take a hit worse than Starscream did in the movie, hahaha.

 

the problem with that theory is the apache pre orders sold quick so releasing it at the same time as xtb's will make no difference because there are none left and will be no more apache's for sale on release unless there are any canceled orders at certain stores

 

This may not be the most fun way to do things, but between credit cards, deposits for pre-orders, features like the Stack option at TF Source and the no- or little-money-down method for the Insecticon set, I've really tried to stay disciplined and pay things off as soon as I order something else.

With four Dinobots, three bugs, two copies of Quietus, Zeta's Bruticus and a few Bay movie figures all on the sheet this year, I've really let a lot slide, but with the way that these no-warning pre-orders have been dropping, I'm insisting on not letting things pile up. I knew this spring would be bad, but this was more than I'd expected.

 

Canceled my preorder on TCP.

Rising costs or no, this thing ain't worth damn near 300 bucks so someone else can have a go

HeatToys/Bombusbee just sent shipping notification!

 

HeatToys was $239.99 shipped which almost seems like a decent deal at this point. Sheesh.
