Just send a follow up email in about days, that's when the National Day holiday period in China will be over. They're usually good about responding. Just gotta stay on it once a week or so till you get a response.

Is there a preferred/suggested technique for removing Quietus' sword from its scabbard? I never managed to free the sword from my original FT-29.

 

Maybe dab a couple drops of grease/cooking oil in the crevice?

 

Anyone have any luck paint matching the chest. I decided to swap a logo and while removing the residue it took the paint. I'm so pissed at myself right now.

 

If you can't find a match you can always hit up FT for a replacement chest piece.

Someone on this thread got a replacement chest piece from them a while ago so it it certainly possible provided they still have the parts. Hit them up.

 

I just got this bad boy for my birthday from my wife. I never knew I wanted a figure this much! He is freaking gorgeous in bot mode! Later this evening I'm going to transform him but from what I've heard it's quite a complex transformation. Any tips on what to look out for? Would hate to scratch his paint or worse, breaking him. Thanks in advance!

Keep your eyes on the space between the knee caps and the chest piece as you collapse them into plane mode. I find it that if you have your hips/thigh line up straight then you shouldn’t have problem at all.

Getting the nose section of the alt mode through the arms is kind of funky for me but just take some wiggling. Check out your usual reviewers (t-man, emgo jti)

The transformation is quite simple, but as mentioned if you have the original be careful of the back of the knees scratching the chest. I glued furniture felt pads to the back of the knees to eliminate any scratching.

 

If it is the recently released FT-29T version, you shouldn't have any issues with scratched paint.

 

I always leave them long. I don't like the floppy wing bits on the back when he's transformed properly.

 

Yeah, as @ChromeMagnus said, if it's the recent FT-29T release the knee and chest issue was fixed. The T version had revised knee cap pieces that don't contact the chest the same as on the original.
