I opened mine, no paint issues so far, he certainly looks the part as a display piece. I think that he is not better aesthetic wise than the V1, but it's good to have options for Quietus.

When I opened mine it felt greasy! :lol

Are all the chipped marks on V1/OG @ the same area? I actually wonder if FT would sell me V2's Kneepads?

@sifu74 what's the point of buying a transformer if you never transform it? it seems like a shit load of wasted money if that's the thinking. I know some people buy just to display and it's their money and all but it just seems a damn shame to do it. Might as well display it in the box if people are scared of doing what it was designed to do.

I'm not saying not to transform ever, but wait for a solution to the issue than chancing the scratch then your SOL and have to wait for a part.

Solution was easy - pop off the knees and place some washers behind it. Gave enough clearance to not cause any damage. Sucks you have to do it but is what it is

I've asked dalianjj to give it a coating like IT megatron.
    Maybe he listened to me.

This was my message to him.

    Hi Dalianjj,
can you guys give your figures the paint protection layer that IT uses on their KO MP-36 Megatron?
We all love your figures, but paint scratching off bothers us.

    Thank you

I think FT figures are given a spray of some lubricant before they place the plastic sheet on it. My guess is to avoid peeling off any paint when peeling the plastic sheet off.

missed out last year v1 release and just got my copy of FT-29T. Completely mesmerized by it, same paint quality as Maverick which is probably the norm for FT. Waiting for Sovereign reissue or a new interpretation of it to match it and scourge to complete the trio devil that I watch on TV when I was young.

FT is really knocking out of the park with their paint, especially now. I guess they're trying to make up for the scratched paint issues on most copies of the original FT-29. Folks are really gushing over the paint job on FT Spoiler.
I'm looking forward to FT Scourge and Sweeps as well.

I'm looking forward to @Chaotic Yeti's flight stands for Quietus, Maverick, Hydra, and Apache.

it's like buying a sports car, parking it in your driveway, but never driving it. Sometimes you dust it.

The impression so far seems to be they will release more M next year when they have capacity...

as I understand it both the M version of Sovereign and the T version of Quietus will be issued again as factory time opens up, so probably more short runs mixed in with the major releases throughout the year and possibly years.

Fans Toys is probably the overall smartest/business savvy 3p company. They will eventually rereleaese the entire line and do a toon/movie color edition for everything.

I wouldn't hold my breath to wait for reissues of ft29t and 16m anytime soon. If FT is going to book factory time, you wouldn't think they would spend it making 3000 Stunticon limbs or Aerialbots and still have so many damn figures that needs to be released next year instead of 300 each of 29t or 16m?

don't know the numbers, just repeating what @dalianjj said, that there would be more reissues of 29T and 16M in the future, that it wasn't a limited reissue.

I don't know the ETA for the 2nd batch of FT-29T, hopefully we get news on that soon.
A Taobao seller has stated that the 2nd batch for FT-16M will be available in 2020. He was pretty sure about it being 2020 but not certain about which month. He thinks on or before April 2020 so if that holds true were looking at about 1st quarter 2020 for the 2nd batch of FT-16M.

@ChromeMagnus that makes pretty good sense since there seems to be mor of a want for any version of Sovereign right now than there is for Quietus. Though I am only speaking from my own wants as I have the first version of Quietus and no version of Sovereign right now, pre-ordered, sure, but nothing in hand yet.
