Sounds like you need to pop it out of jet mode configuration, just gently pull the arm away from the figure's torso and it should click back into the ratchets. If that doesn't work, it may be defective.

My brother got me Quietus for Christmas (yes I have an awesome brother). Wow, what an awesome masterpiece! The finish on this looks like Bandai made it. Fanstoys just keeps getting better.

After looking at the instructions, I had no idea the shoulders collapse with a click towards his torso. I'm an idiot. That would explain why those piece on his cockpit weren't slotting in. I figured I'd just watch Bobby Skullface transform his instead of relying on the instructions but I must have missed that part.

Don't be hard on urself. To begin with, the transformations are complex and everyone's got their own learning curve. It's part of enjoying the toy.

That said, has anyone figured how to loosen the upper hinge of the elbow? It was tight to begin with, so I just sat there moving that hinge back and forth hoping the excessive friction would wear the joint nicely. But it's still really tight on mine, even after unscrewing about half a turn on the screw as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that. The arm just keeps popping back in. It won't stay out like the right arm does. I think it is defective. It's an easy enough fix if I can get a new arm. The problem right now is that I found two big scratches at the bottom of his chest plate. Didn't notice it last night because of the dim lighting. In broad daylight they are pretty noticeable. That won't be an easy fix since it requires knocking out pins. IMG_3782.JPG

Mine came with scratches on the chest and on one of his feet right out of the box. One could almost argue and legitimize a 400 dollar price tag for a more professionally assembled figure....

I wonder if FT didn't take into account the thickness of the paint when they calculated their tolerances on this guy. This looks a lot like a "tight" build, given the clearance issues.

Well, it stinks for you all having issues. I bought mine strictly for bot mode and he delivers.

I don’t miss that the Eligos I sold one bit and I’ll definitely be on the lookout for a second one that I can transform into alt. mode.

I have two Quietus because his paint work is very fragile (and because I want to have him in his two modes)... I still own Eligos by the way.

I did just have a thought though, which jet mode do you think looks better?

The one of Quietus without a doubt. Is quite interesting that both have cockpit tabbing issues. :(

I sliced some furniture felt pads thin and super glued them behind the knees. Problem solved now when pressing the knees into place in alt mode.

And not to turn this into a bash Eligos thread because I used to like him but the last two times I’ve transformed him new problems emerged. First time one of the tabs fir the cockpit snapped off; to make matters worse I tried to simply place it into its slot to cover the hole and it wouldn’t even fit to begin with. Went ahead and sanded it down simply to plug the hole.

And the other day the pieces that cover the painted rectangle on his torso in sky mode gouged the paint. Maybe I was being ham fisted with it but it happened. I’m going to just put it up on the ‘bay and take what I can get for it to get it out of my life. Quietus is the perfect Cyclonus for me.

While we’re on the subject of Eligos, I don’t know if it’s because I got used to his chunkyness but every pic I saw of Quietus kept making me think how skinny his thighs were.

I’m glad to say everything is so proportionally perfect when in person. And I agree with everybody saying THIS is 100% Cyclonus.

If you don't mind his problems, he is a very good representation of the character.

Mine will forever be a glorified robot paperweight until I get a second one. With that said, I’m very satisfied with him:lol

I’d gladly take Eligos back for free99. What a nice gesture, dude:D
