Snagging a pre-order isn't nearly as important as it once was. I think the last time it was important was Smokey. Everything since then has been available at retail price without a preorder.

(Granted, this is largely because retail prices are higher in the first place now, but still)

It's still speculation, but it's also my best guess at the moment that we may see a Berserk reveal and year-end release. Also, a Devastator might surely be in the works (there's some speculation in Chinese boards that a Devastator will be revealed this year, and although I understand part of the reasons, I don't agree with all of them).

The comment linked a possible "reveal" of a Devastator foot in a TFCON video of another company, and the "fact" that FT tries to "snipe"on other company releases.

Just too many "ifs".

 

The past few releases saw plenty of opportunities to order a figure during its release week. You will be fine.

 

The past few FT releases were of characters that had multiple options available. Tesla had Janssen, Rig had BC Huff, Spindrift had XTB, Acoustic wave had multiple MP-13 KO’s.

All of which are in stock, you know what’s not in stock? Hunk, Sheridan, Thomas….because those characters don’t have other options available that are good enough to compete against FT

3P MP blitzwings (KFC & DX9) are not in stock anywhere at the moment. This means Berserk will not be like the last few FT releases. It will be in high demand with little to no competition. Even if we get re-releases from both KFC and DX9 right before FT-21 comes out, It won’t do much to sway the anticipation for this releases. Don’t sleep on finding a PO for this one

 

The ones you are mentioning also came out in 2020 or around when a lot of “new collectors” were making more money by staying home.

It’s different now. Everything is more expensive, housing is hell, and people are making the $ame.

BW will eventually sell out, I just don’t see it as bad as it was.

Also, most PO’s require no money down, people cancel left and right come release date.

Also, the existence of alternatives means nothing for Fanstoys releases. There are two viable alternatives for Dead End (XTB and DX9), but whenever Fanstoys will release theirs, it will sell like it's the only version available.

 

I assume you’re only talking about the US economy in 2020, in which case you are 100% incorrect. The average American actually spent 700$ more per month in 2021 when compared to 2020.

But the the main point I’m making all has to do with availability of FT product being directly correlated to what competition is available.

 

That’s one example vs the 5 that I gave(which honestly is not an example, it’s speculation on how well Dead end will do). It seems like in most cases FT products that are currently in stock also have similar options available at the same time

 

Yeah, I'm still spending more than I did in 2020. Everyone is.

Also, a lot of people already have either Dikta or the other one whatever its name is. Sure, they may be shit depending on who you ask, but the fact remains. $250 is a lot for a toy, more so now.

 

Everything from the last 6 months is in stock at one shop or another. Everything older than 6 months is probably out of stock. It has nothing to do with options.

Sheridan and Hunk came out almost 2 years ago. Why would they be in stock now?
