I expect there to be a pattern similar to last year with more completed preproduction figure reveals that will be released for next year and then the preorders will begin.

They've only sent bot mode out for now. Next April is jet mode. No sign of tank mode yet. So don't try transforming yours or he'll disappear for eight months (or longer if you go for tank).

 

Let them get his teammate off the tracks (which is where their mental energies are right now 110%) then there will sure as hell be an update.

Esp. since Thomas himself is a promotional tool for the other guy, a bit like a cheese & pickle sandwich with no pickle.

I think Berserk looks miles better than Thomas.

 

Based on the limited pics of Berserk, I have to agree. Thomas's robot mode leaves a little something to be desired. I am a big fan of both characters and me missing out on Thomas still stings a bit but not something I regret too much. Hoping they'll do him in the white and black toy colors though. That might look less drab than the cartoon colors for the mold.

 

Fanstoys Blitzwing? When did news of this drop? I've been away for the last week!

 

I think it'd be nice to have Berserk in hand (the US, worldwide, everybody) in just under six months after his partner finally releases, but that's just me. **hint, hint**

2021's probably going to be FT's biggest year yet. Hopefully lots of completed sets for collectors out there.

 

I didn’t realize Blitzwing and Astrotrain were partners. I’m assuming that must be a relationship that was created in the comics in this century, because I’m certain that type of romantic relationship would have never been touched on in the 80’s in a kids cartoon. But maybe I didn’t pay close enough attention.

This is because new workers would join and a lot of the older experienced ones would leave. First release after CNY should be a reissue or recolor.

 

What is the reason for that? I think it would make more sense to keep experienced workers.

 

My understanding is there is like a massive migration basically of people leaving the factories and going back home all throughout the country to their small villages to celebrate cny. Jobs in the factory are seasonal and a lot of people get home and decide to stay home or go somewhere else after cny is over. Some get a better job, some come back to the same place they worked the year before

 

Meaning - pay them more to keep them...

Keep in mind this year, was a CNY during the COVID pandemic so it was much worse than previous years. Post CNY releases are not always necessarily the worst. Although true about the workers part, there are generally longer delays in production post CNY to account for new people.

This is correct, and is incredibly common. It was significantly more common this year due to COVID causing delays in all industries.
