Which part? The lower part on the back, or the "straps" on the shoulders?

@dalianjj on the boards can be helpful, but I recommend emailing them at: [email protected]

You may need to take pictures. They have been helpful with most relatively current figures.

That is notorious for breaking. I can’t believe they designed it with that tiny ass screw. So crazy for such a large figure. My right arm fell off of TG. In a couple years I expect the left will too

Hook on the front tabs first, over the shoulders, one side at a time then slide/push down on the back to secure the bottom tabs of the backpack into place. Emgo has a decent video of this transformation.

Mine are holding up as well. I guess I'm not that surprised by some breakage/quality issues popping up after a while though? It's a large, heavy figure, and I imagine certain weaknesses thanks to weight distribution would only show up over time, as opposed to immediately. I hope these are just some isolated incidents and remain so, but I guess time will tell.

None on mine either. And mine is a newer copy... released in the last 45 days.

But he is a big beefy boy... with a lot of weight to support.

I’m thinking of selling mine. Nothing wrong with it and love it’s look and size, it’s just that the hasbro recent release is really working for me.

Is there still a market for this big guy or should I just find a place to plop him in base mode and be done with it?

Nope. Got it from TFSource... and they were out of stock on these for the last couple months. So I’m 99% it is new production. No clue as to any improvements as I’ve never owned TG before.

IDK about the convention market place, but I think once retailers sold out of OS A+B sets, they were done. I think there are some Guardian versions still floating around. Oddly, I seem to recall that some had B sets lying around for a while.

There are three 3P options, and now that Hasbro has come out with a version, the market is getting crowded. The 3P MP fans all have differing perspectives on the "best" version, but I'd imagine if you price him reasonably, he might sell. Shipping would be a pain, since those boxes are the sizes of carry-on suitcases.

Got the pieces last week. They let me get three extras in case it happens again. Especially as I have the Omega Sentinel as well.

Here are pics of the piece and the breakage for those who’d like to see it. I had to disassemble most of the torso to get it out.

That's great that FT came through for you with the replacement parts. It looks like it took a month to receive those parts.

I'm sure you've probably gotten it worked out by now but in case you hadn't, I had the same problem and it turned out there are "flaps" on the side of the tank part that can fold both ways into robot mode. One way looks right but won't let the backpack fold down and latch. You fold those flaps the completely reverse way and it does. It's deceptive because it can move either way and other than the backpack not going on right, you'd never know why.
