I'd have to think that we should hear something fairly soon just in response to how quickly DX9 is showing their efforts

Supposedly we should be seeing some reviews pretty soon. I am guessing sometime next week.

Not yet. I'd think that FT will be releasing information soon now that DX9 has shown a prototype

I'd bet we see reviews soon as FT seems to have the gameplan to release a figure and send out the next one for reviews shortLet thereafter. It works great as it obviously keeps interest in the company high.

    Well said!

You know it's funny. I had all (or darn near most) of these back in the 80's. I remember them looking more like they do now until I go back and look at a book or guide for the old 80's toys and see how *BAD* the robots looked compared to the characters. I really don't remember that at all. It's very clear the 80's toys had alt mode first and foremost and then robot was whatever they could pull off (I'm looking at you Ratchet and Ironhide).

I clearly loved them a lot to look past the bad robot modes. Having them perfect now is great. :)

I have avoided Chigurh up until this last week when I saw him at a local second hand retro gaming store. I replaced the hips with the part that came with Gewalt and... Holy Moley is this a GREAT figure. I can't believe I missed out for so long. Pictures did not do this guy justice. In hand he is simply awesome, SOLID, and fun. DX-9 makes the best SOLID bots. Yes even more solid than Fans Toys. DX-9 knows their tabs. Their tabbing game is strong.

It really is strange how we perceive things..I hadn't seen a g1 bot in ages, and I was looking at a vintage Wheeljack and I saw him and thought that's it? He can barely do anything? In my head the MP is what Wheeljack looks like

I'm totally there with you in that regard. The MP line and ,uch of the 3rd party MP offerings had been more along the lines of what we saw in our imagination.

The closer the official MP line gets to toon accuracy, the less I tend to like the figures. I prefer Hasui's designs that have a much more real world mixed with toon and toy elements over the way the line is currently going. 3rd party figs seem to now fit in much better with that original MP line up than the ultra smoothed out toon offerings we have now, IMO.

That said, I'm so glad we are in an age where there are two really great versions of an Omega Supreme! A few years ago, something like this would be unheard of.

I'd have to agree with that. I'm not crazy about the new trend of toon accuracy but with 3rd party bringing their offerings more in line with the toon/realism that I originally started collecting I can finish out what I originally started collecting. And with the other options that are being done for a stylized line of some characters, there really is something for everyone now. It's pretty cool that no matter what you like, there's options for all of the fandom out therr.

I agree. And as for Hasui, I hope to see him return soon, with his take on MP Jazz.

Has it been confirmed whether this will come with a clear visor as well? Curious if the orange-tinted one is the only option.

Yeah, but that guy charges three dollars each. And then what happens when belly stars are no longer in style? He sells you a trip through his star-off machine..."And all it will cost you is ten dollars eaches."

*came in hoping for a TG review link*

*sees completely unwinnable subjective semantic argument"

*clicks on the TFW menu labeled "Toys", "3rd party"*

    Quote:
    DX9 Toys
    TFC Toys
    Toyworld
    Fans Toys
    Maketoys
    Unique Toys
    ETC

Unless it's spinoff merchandise, toy companies primarily make toys.

Ain't no reason any toy can't be a collectible, there are people out there that collect 5 dollar HasTak legends. If you want to argue "high end" or "premium" collectible when talking about MP level stuff, that might be a debate with some worth to trade thoughts on, but the only thing we debate here more to death than "what is MP?" is "bro do you even scale?"

*returns to drooling over DNA Susanoo and waiting, hoping, wishing*
