Something seems... not right.

 

Oh no!! FT has released another render and still doesn't have Skyfire and Grinder out!! The sky is falling and we will never see any of them now!! I can't believe they are doing this to the other company that released their image first! Such an evil corporation!!

 

The overall figure looks alright. The thing that jumps out to me is the chest portion of the torso in robot mode being proportionally too big, which also translate into the hood section being too big I think.

 

Cool! Was hoping for Astrotrain first, to go with Blitzwing etc but still happy that it's another triple changer  

Guessing it'll be 2018 release or something though

 

Damn, I think a G1 Springer MP is going to be hard to make look good. This might be good, but it still doesn't look very good. Hopefully this grows on me.

I get this is sarcasm, but are people really complaining about that?

Girder has a Dec release date and the Skyfire prototype should be shown in a few day.

Anyway, he looks a hell of a lot more like Springer than Toyworld's offering. Consider me interested.

 

I think my issue is that designs for Springer have evolved since G1 and just gotten better.

If we were to see a MP quality version of the Generations Voyager I would be all over it.

This is about right !
It is also TOO square to look anything close to the animated model. Just rounding the edges would make it considerably better looking. And this would also need to be done to the rear of the vehicles to create a modernized feel, coz it is simply too square, a little too 80s and not enough 2005 !!!

I think I agree with Unicronic. While this is fairly accurate , Springer has evolved so much in the comics this just feels off to what my eye is used too seeing. Not a no but not excited yet either.

 

+1 for the chest being a bit big but apart from that looks goods

Better pics, color pics etc will help somewhat too.

But my opinion is I'd like to see a DX9 Springer given that they like to add a twist on MP sized figures where possible.

 

Hmm, looks a bit odd. Maybe it will grow one me like brawny, and some others have. I really thought it would be Astrotrain tbh.

And wasn't it rumored that will do Sweeps, Scourge, Cyclonus? And maybe whispers of a Omega? Wow so looks like we won't see these in hand for a good long time.
