LOL!! I’d agree except for how different the engineering is for the figure…

 

Crap. Out of boredom I decided to transform some of my bots. Two of Scoria's fingers snapped right off, one from each hand. I was very careful and I don't do that very often with my figures, so probably the plastic hasn't aged well ... I've already contacted [email protected], but I fear they'll have no replacement parts left since he's already an older figure...  Any other ideas just in case?

 

They sent me a replacement hand last year, some (if not all) of the dibots hands are the same so they will usually have them.

 

Let me know how it goes, weirdly the exact same thing happened to me last week... Just the 1 finger though. Had to transform him to move house - I guess over time the plastic got brittle. A bit bummed out as I love this figure.

 

I have a Scoria that was scraped and used to rebuild another one FT's sent me. I might have the hands left but it's been so long I'd have to dig up the box and look. Let me know if you can't get anywhere with FT and I'll dig for the carcass.

 

Sorry to hear that. Let's hope that after 10 years Scoria doesn't activate some kind of self-destruct. Sure, I'll post how it goes. Maybe this will be of interest for others...

See what FT reply is. If they say don't have the parts at the moment, and there are no other options in the meantime, hang tight. 2 FT dinos are currently being reissued. It's highly likely that Scoria will be reissued as well and once that happens you may very well be able to get spare parts directly from FT.

 

Wow, that was fast. Got an answer from the man himself. I was asked for 12 USD, my address and up to 3 months of patience.

A few years ago I needed a part for Soar. It took exactly 2 months to arrive and everything went smooth. Hopefully it won't be different this time. Say what you want about FT, but their customer support is second to none.

 

True. I wonder why it's taking 2-3 months though? The longest I've ever waited for a FT part was about 1 month max. Make sure you follow up with them every 3 weeks. Once they confirm it has been shipped out ask them for a tracking number. Once its shipped out, FT won't give you a tracking number unless you specifically ask them.

 

Truth. And even if you don't keep on top of it, likelihood is high it'll arrive. I asked for them to send me a gun for Magnum (mine hadn't come with one) and I don't even think they confirmed it was shipped. But one day 3 months later it showed up.

 

Regular air mail without tracking, he said. I'm positive it will arrive though.

I think that’s normal at the moment. I paid for a replacement part for Quietus T the first week of June and it hasn’t arrived yet.

 

Similarly, I was taking advantage of the Soar reissue and requested new ankles since mine cracked at the shafts (though still holding after all this time) and a palm plate for Stomp. I was given a time frame of 10-12 weeks. Definitely the norm right now.

 

I emailed FT if i can get a replacement gun & sword (misplaced it when moving out) and also new horn and feet since they are all semi tarnished. The answer i got was they dont have these parts anymore since its been a long time since they release it. Bummer!

 

Wait for it to be reissued. Once the reissue is released ask them again. They should have parts at that point.
Soar and Stomp are being reissued currently so it's only natural that Scoria gets the same treatment in the near future.

FYI, I contacted FT a few days back to ask for the leg fillers for Sever (as they didn't come with the recent reissue of Stomp), and asked if they were planning on re-issuing Scoria. Their response was that there wasn't any plans to at the moment, but "maybe later", whatever that means.

As a result, I purchased a 2nd-hand Scoria to complete my set, and asked about replacement die-cast feet and shoulder joints. I'm getting the shoulder joints, but no feet.
